With Christmas now out of the way, the PDC World Darts Championship resumes action from Alexandra Palace in London with 23 World titles on display over today's play.
The afternoon session sees World Number 8 Mensur Suljovic against one-time Lakeside winner Mark Webster. The Gentle had an unconvincing 3-0 win over butch Dutch bottlejob Ron Meulenkamp while the Welshman produced the finishing performance of the tournament so far, missing just 2 out of his 11 double attempts against cock-eyed Joe Murnan. The men seeded one less and one higher than the openers then take to the stage in Robert Thornton and Daryl Gurney; Rab's appalling finishing in round 1 was not punished by Zoran Lerchbacher and the big chinned Ulsterman will surely want to capitalise on both that and his win over Jermaine Wattimena. Ending the session is what looks to be a stormer of a match between simple Dave Chisnall and Northumberland hotshot Chris Dobey; Chizz had to play at his highest standard to get rid of Rowby-John Rodriguez with Hollywood removing slow bastard Justin Pipe from proceedings.
Raymond van Barneveld opens the evening against floor bully Alan Norris. The 5 time champion produced some classic arrows to whitewash Robbie Green while Chuck nearly choked against John Michael but survived thanks to the Greek lardarse melting; you can be assured this won't happen with Barney unless his insulin fails. A repeat of the 2004 final and this stage in 2016 is next up as gropey bastard Phil Taylor plays arse-faced Kevin Painter; one of the chief Philth pocketeers, Painter threw way a 1 set lead a year ago and you can guarantee something similar will happen again. Ending the night is 2014 champ Michael van Gerwen against Spain's Cristo Reyes; Reyes had one of the ties of Round 1 against Dimitri Van den Bergh and will surely have to improve on it if he is to beat Kim Viljanen's last 64 rapist, who averaged 103: standard MVG really.

>I've always quite liked Mark 'interesting' Webster since his BDO days, never seems to get rattled and plays the board, doesnt make too many mistakes, but then there's a big part of me that thinks any player who walks out to the fucking Stereophonics deserves a pasting from all the biggest jobbing cunts around. Change the god damn tune.

Webster does what Webster does, it's an average game from the spider. If Mensur can't beat this, I fear he really shouldn't be in 3rd round. We all know that he can play much better, but if he doesn't...

This desu. You have to give him credit, it's not a beautiful game, but he is grinding out his legs somehow.
William Gomez
was that an 11 darter?
Evan Wright
Mensur's completely lost his head after that blunder on the doubles in the second set.
Him throwing ahead of the oche proves it.
Indeed it was.
Levi Johnson
He took out crucial doubles. Mensur seemed shook afterwards.
Evan Scott
>Mensur/Webby/Thorn/Gurney
Assuming MVG doesn't choke tonight and then doesn't get Manleted, that is a walkover in the quarters for him.
Jack Carter
Absolute bottlejobs
Jackson Mitchell
Did they chant "Boring, boring Mensur", or "Come on, come on, Mensur"?
