Haven't been on this board in well over a year, how's everyone doing?
Definitely different, I'll give you that!
I like the production on this man, I know its auto tuned but maybe some vocal training on the more shouty parts would help you out a lot
I liked the samples in Apollo, wouldn't really class this as vapourwave though, experimental definitely.
Interesting stuff man, what's your inspiration?
not sure of the genre, but I like it, keep it up dude
Chorus is interesting and I like the comparison with the verses, but the rap could just use something extra
Oooooo, I'm liking this!
interesting work mann
neato beatos dude
bizarre, but good bizarre
Fuckin nice nice
hmmmmmmm, edgy?
liking the beat, i don't really get the whole deliberately out of tune thingy though
Niiiiiiiiice!!!!

ahh thanks man, checking your shit out now. its pretty nice so far. The only inspiration i have really is a dead genre, plus all the lofi hip hop/beat makers i see around soundcloud and youtube. I wanna be a part of the community but i dont wanna do the same sounds everyone else is doing

Nice man! I'm happy you're steering away from the direction of most of the lofi hip-hop crowd, I really feel like that markets going to become over-saturated at any time now so you're definitely making the right decision coming up with some nice actual OC. Your production is also pretty darn spot-on as well man!
some nice stuff here fella
Good to see you're still carrying on Miley Curseword!
This is nice, pretty nocturnal, your voice really fits this sorta beat. Real comfy, real cool. Doesn't feel as predictable as other stuff in the genre. I'M IN THE DIGITAL CITY yeah this is incredible, fucking awesome job.
Trying to work on incorporating acoustic drums via samples, I basically recorded my self hitting several drums several times at different velocities/positions, and then split the parts by transients via ableton and let every drum have its own drum rack with like 50~ samples. I think it sounds ok so far.
That garage rock guy again a short one with some surf vibes youtu.be/DrgGTfyJ3Hg
This is so sludgy and dark, I love it

bandcamp question: can I change my artist URL back and forth as many times as I like?
I know it will break links, but I want to know if there is any restriction on the URL, apart from that it can't be already taken at the time.
eg. >change URL to /bandname1000 >change URL to /newbandname1000 >change URL to /newbandname2000 >change URL back to /bandname1000 etc. every half a year
I've just started writing music and came up with this little ditty. Thoughts? Bear in mind I can only do chords and a single melody in the program I'm using, and it has poor options for instrumentation.
If you like Aphex, BoC, Arthur Russell, OPN, and Post Rock stuff like Talk Talk etc. check this out. Album coming soon. Best stuff I've ever made. Would love feedback, cheers x
I'll give feedback shortly and reply to this post so you know it's me
lol, if you've seen these threads for more than a day you realize what isn't worth listening to based on how the artists present themselves
>beats "I am 16 years old and just discovered FL studio so listen to my shitty music which my small brain can't describe in any more descriptive way than 'beats' " >lo-fi "I can't afford real equipment or a recording studio". >experimental "I can't play my instrument and I don't know music so I just fuck with the amp to make weird noises and call it art". >avantgarde same as above, but more pretentious. sometimes "I don't know what avantgarde means but it makes me sound smart"
I am a flute and piano player of Celtics music mainly. This is a piece a recorded by a blind Irish harp player named Turlough O'Carolan (pic related) he is the last bard of irelated and spoke Irish as his native tongue
If you have the time, check out some of my work. I've been at this for a couple of years - making the transition from musician to producer - I record myself playing guitar - Old Man Death is a bluesy guitar piece soundcloud.com/michael-rogers-370911093/old-man-death - but I experiment with soft synths and samplers as well. I have a decently equipped project studio that's growing all the time.
