Smash the fash!!

That's one of the greatest albums of all time, and "punk" never really picked up what it was giving them and continued to be garbage

If you want good punk, you have to look for stuff that's not labeled "punk rock"...because that stuff all sounds exactly the same no matter when it was released because there's no creativity to it...maybe anarcho-punk would be a good place to look for some creative bands from the period of Zen Arcade but nothing that's really like that album

The leader of this group not only taught Bob Mould how to play guitar, but he also started Twin Tone Records, which gave the world such bands as Soul Asylum and The Replacements!

More Hüsker Dü OP

Though, it doesn't really have the same psychedelic punk feel of Zen Arcade, it's still great

Zen Arcade, New Day Rising, and Flip Your Wig are all classics. Metal Cirus, Candy Apple Grey, and Warehouse are good too

nice minneapolis punk thread

my favorite hardcore punk album at the moment

I've only listened to Let It Be and Tim all the way through, but the Replacements have grown on me to become one of my favorite bands. I love their rawness, melancholy, and nostalgic vibe

>"punk" never really picked up
why? other offshoots of the genre picked it up, like alternative rock, emo, hardcore punk like Fugazi. Zen Arcade was incredibly influential

punk is the best when it's not centered around politics. Dead Kennedys proved this well. However Discharge contradicts this statement..

you know nothing
