So my ex-wife stole the cat since we had no kids. I'm looking at getting a new cat. What breed is the Alpha cat?

if you dont want to spend money look out for a siam-normal hybrid. proportions are nice and they usually have the siam eyes. also smart fuckers.

...

Spend the money in court. win that cat back!

dis nigga mad

tommy's a nice kitteh

>What breed is the Alpha cat?
Get mongrel moggie from rescue.
1. Genetically better then pure-breds
2. It needs a caring home

We got a rescue cat to take care of mice in our country house. Cat was an amazing mouser, cleared the house and then started on the county. Lived until 19 and was about 3 when we got her.

Miss that damn fleabag

End of dump. What do you think of my kitties? I love them very much.

...

How the fuck do people dress their cats up like this?

if 'd have tried this with mine she'd have flayed my arms and trashed the costume

...

All cats are different user. Some have a higher tolerance to our shit than others.

i have no clue.

bub

quads?

We had a succession of cats when I was a kid. Different personalities, but none would have put up with that shit without going postal on us

They're damn cute cats, user.

That one needs to go on a diet

I wonder if cats in the same litter usually act somewhat similarly? My cats in pic related act like swiping at you doesn't even cross their mind. If I pick them up and give them kisses they just push me away with their paw and meow. It's really weird how non-aggressive they are. Even when my dog bothers them they swipe but they don't swipe with their claws out.

Beautiful kitty user. Give him pats for me?

>I wonder if cats in the same litter usually act somewhat similarly?
Thinking about it, they were all rescue cats who were adult (or adolescent) when we got them. Perhaps it's being socialised and messed about with from very young kittens makes them tolerant.

To me that conditions out the "fuck you" contemptuous attitude that I love in cats.

if I want something daft I can fuck about with I'd get a dog.

It's all just dependent on how your raise them. You gotta get them when they're really young if you want to get them used to certain things.

Like one cat I had, who had absolutely zero problems with being held/carried literally all day every day. This came about because when he was very, very little, he had an eye infection and it involved having to wash his eye out a lot and eventually a trip to the vet. He got used to being manhandled at a very young age and it stuck.

So yeah, you want a lap cat? You want a cat that'll sit on your shoulders as you go about the house? Get them doing it when they're young, and they'll very likely be doing it of their own volition when they're older.

bub

That's also a possibility. At the time we got them my sister worked as a vet and someone just dropped off a box of kittens. And when I say kittens I mean their eyes weren't even open yet. Early human interaction sounds like a safe bet for a well-tempered cat.

im sure its a experience and not a genetic thing.

also noticed differences between appartment and outside cats.

Yeah I got them when their eyes were still shut so that's a safe assumption. I love the little bastards. It's a shame how hard it is to home a stray and get it to act correctly.

My Fur Turd, Bram

That's a cool name. How'd you come up with it?

Oh shit, the cats are uprising and making personal appearances on the battlefield. Surrender now. They would never show up on the battlefield unless they were confident they are not in danger.

I didn't. I went to the shelter to adopt a full grown cat and I found him. He was an abandon with no name so that's what they called him.

I liked it a lot so I kept it.

Its an "aww" as opposed to an "ahh" sound

So it sounds like Braum? At any rate, he is a very pretty kitty.

Yeah, pronounced like that, I considered changing the spelling, and thank you. He's a brat but he's super lovable. Wont stop scratching the fucking door frames though, so now he gets these.

>Yeah I got them when their eyes were still shut so that's a safe assumption

It's not an assumption. I'm speaking from experience. I got all my cats to do or tolerate the things I wanted them to because I conditioned them for it from when they were little. From sitting on my shoulders, to eating out of my hand without thinking my hand flesh was edible meat, to putting my finger in their mouths for shit and gigs.

Hook em while they're young. That's the key.

Aw shit is that really an option? I close my door when I play games with my headphones on and if I don't open the door when they meow they try to tear up carpet where the door it. Does this really work? Only one of them does it and it's the fat black cat in my pictures. She's very saucy.

...

...

yeah, if theres 2 people, one to hold the cat, one to clip the nails and apply them it takes about 5-10 minutes, then they last 3-6 weeks.

I buy them in packs of 40 for $15 and it gets me about 3 months. I use them 10 a month, and the last 10 I use whenever if one falls off or he manages to pull on off which will happen from time to time.

...

Cinco de mio

That's cool! And stylish too. She hasn't been doing it lately but if she starts up again I'll check these out. Thanks!

if you have enough money, buy a british short hair. they are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OC - Sir Gabriel Chocolate Doughnut Lionheart the Cuddlefluff I, King of the Shedroom.

Can anyone assist with why he pees on the bed? I've rubbed the nose, tried the water spray, he knows the box and it's clean. He only pees on the bed where he was sleeping -- but the weird thing is that he then lays down in it.

...

...

...

rrrr

Maybe /an/ can help. I haven't heard of this behavior, but I'm betting it can be fixed. Have you googled how to break him of it?

Give our kitten back user :O

Will ask them, it's really weird and exhausting for me. I just wanna cuddle the fluffly lion, but I risk him peeing even on me when I sleep. Everything I found on Google was the basic stuff really :[

...

spy special equipment.

My cat stopped eating a couple days ago and I'm dealing with another sick one. I understand the exhaustion thing. Good luck. Looks like a great cat. Very cute.

It's a dangerous game. You need backup.

Ausfag here, can confirm

nasty cat. difficult thing. u could make some test. cage in an empty room with nothing but the box and see whats happening. also dont clean it when he lays down on it and see if his behaviour is changing after 1-2 days.

Does your box have a door? Try removing it. Maybe buy a second box, sometimes they prefer two. But since he lays down into it, I don't think its that.
Is he alone often? Maybe he needs a companion. Is he castrated? Maybe its some weird "my territory" thing

Tabbies are the smartest in my experience.

family got a new cat last week.
always wants cuddles.

I'm not entirely sure what to suggest for the one who won't eat. Although I do know when my previous cat got a paralysis tick, my grandad got me to feed him cat milk with an eyedropper thing and that helped him to recover when he couldn't eat, so maybe that can be of some use?

Might I suggest maybe some complimentary type foods, they got Gabe to eat when he got a sick tum and wouldn't touch his normal food.

That and I know Vegemite might be of some help to the sick one -- friend of mine works for a shelter and said they often give it to sick cats because of the salt content (I suppose that depends on the sick tho).

I hope your furbabies recover soon.

He's not tho, that's the thing. He's loving and affectionate at all times, even cooperates with baths. He's a rescue and I do suspect some blindness in one eye and wasn't sure if that would have some effect. I also can't leave the blankets on my bed -- it's only my bed that he will pee apart from the box and it's only sometimes.

...

It could be some kind of anxiety thing

Open and very big box which I clean regularly. I haven't tried a second box so it's worth a shot. He's got a kitten in the room with him and I cuddle him for most of the evening when I get back from work. He is desexed as far as the vet could tell (rescue cat).

I did wonder if it was a territory thing, but if so, shouldn't the nose rubs fix that? What else can I try?

I did also wonder that. Cuddles would be the best cure?
