i need to update my chart

rec
youtube.com/watch?v=4MMrhwOaz1A

Nice Boris, go listen to Sleep's Holy Mountain, or Dopesmoker.

Tortoise - TNT

Nice chart, man. I like a lot of what you like. Have you ever listened to Amon Duul ii? Try their album, Yeti, if you haven't.

Brian Eno - Discreet Music
Elgar's cello concerto's are nice, patrician choice. Walton's one are fairly similar (but not as good)
Deatheaven - Sunbather

I appreciate A Promise as much as the next guy but having them in your top-4 is hard to wrap my head around. Really good taste in general though. Check out Kid Dakota.

>tfw get bored by anything that is before late Romantic
nice Dreams

Terry Riley - In C

Duck Fight Goose - Flow
Fang Island - s/t

I can dig your chart, we might be able to be friends

Not sure why everyone is so into Jeff Buckley, I cant get into it at all

dont know lot of this stuff, probably electronic yeah? but you got some good ones in there,

Everyone loves boris huh? I've listened to flood and got pretty bored with it, what do they have that might keep me engaged?

+Spiderland, GKMC, Madvillainy

Pixies - Surfer Rosa
Primus - Sailing the Seas of Cheese

(C)rap t b h
huh i havent listened to regina spektor in forever. maybe i should download her music...
stereolab a cool
im assuming you've listened to pram, eh
nice joanna and nice digits
now THIS is a neat chart

I actually performed In C earlier this year, great piece. The only reason it's not on my chart is because it varies so much between performances/interpretations. Wouldn't be right to pick just one haha

As far as Boris goes, if you didn't like Flood then you might be a little more into Pink, or Heavy Rocks. They're both a little less experimental, more straightforward and immediate.

>im assuming you've listened to pram, eh
Yup, the first album and Perambulations (which sounds weird as I type it out)

you're helpful

I like Sleep but I'm not too big on stoner metal

Amon Duul II is not my favorite, can't quite explain why not tho...

Thanks, I need to listen to Eno some more

Jamie Stewart is a manic depressive and expresses it in the best way I've ever heard. Never had an album hit me so hard by the end, and it still puts me in a mood whenever I listen. Very personal album.

Hey friendo, I'm probably least familiar with your chart of all tho lmao

I hate people who tell me to broaden my horizons, but you really should.

check out helium then. its a bit different from those two

akuma no uta is their best, it's the perfect mix of heavy and noisey
youtube.com/watch?v=5t_5MEME6UU

Ok, let me rec you something then. Listen to HEALTH's self-titled.

I appreciate it, I'm in desperate need of some noise rock.
Big Black, Boredoms, Death from Above, and Sonic Youth all didn't do it for me.

Lightning Bolt?

Never heard them before, what album do you recommend?

hypermagic mountain

I'm by the way--any recs?

youtube.com/watch?v=1JvF2EAFkFI

I can sympathize with that attitude a lot. Ultimately I came to appreciate early music by playing it, there's a large improvisationary angle to it that doesn't show up in recordings.

Hmm... you've got a lot of folky and emo stuff so:
The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die - Harmlessness
Bread, Love and Dreams - Amrayllis

My god... you all have the same taste in music

this is great, thanks

Ah, I'm not a person that plays, so I'm not sure I could relate in that regard. Thanks for the comment though, it's nice to see these sorts of perspectives.

not true
glad you liked it. take another rec while i'm at it
youtube.com/watch?v=vyton8fk6h0

Woah, alrighty, I get it now, That album rocks face. Coulda done with out the first 10 minutes but after that, holy shit, I like that a lot

Akuma no Uta is great, but I gotta disagree with that guy and say Pink is better ultimately, especially if you didn't like the first 10 minutes. Check out Heavy Rocks as well.

attention plebs, please exit here
reddit.com/r/Music/

I love the intro, but i can see why some don't.
you should check out heavy rocks and pink that the other user recommended. they should have less droney 9 minute intros

Check Out Iggy Pop - The Idiot

Check out Moderat - III

you should check out Keith Canisius' later work if you haven't already. His entire body of work is great but he drifts from shoegaze into a kind of freak folk thing.

you're like the guy I wanted to be when I started browsing. I don't know most of your chart, but I don't feel any shittier for being unknowledgable

good stuff my man, you're probably a coool boy

that's wrong and you know it - you're like the paranoid weirdo friend we all have who bridges the gap between traditional (or I guess normie stuff) and the eccentric side. Be confident, I'll check some of this stuff out

holy shit, stop being being fucking attention whores already. all you fags do all day is circle jerk each others' "taste" and rec surface level albums that everyone's already heard a thousand times. why don't you do yourselves a favor and actually dig a little deeper than the top ten Sup Forumscore albums? god you make me sick. and no, i don't have a chart. unlike you, i don't need to validate my taste to edgy teenagers online who claim to have patrician taste. please kill yourselves, all of you
