I think my bandcamp was victim to a download bot or something. Downloads spiked from the 3-5 per day I'm used to to like, 61...emailed customer support, anyone have experience with that?

Thanks to all the people who've already downloaded and/or paid for my album here btw. The feedback's been super helpful.

Shouts to these folks:
I'll listen to a few people in here, but probably not posting feedback for anyone who hasn't left even recs, let alone feedback

yup, we got it too. all free downloads gone in one day ()

ffhks.bandcamp.com/album/jam

>only good bandcamp

Hey, remember the times when people participated and shared feedback between each other? Crazy times in never-existence-land!

a download counts as clicking the download button, so anyone can just keep cancelling and use up all your downloads

You gotta change your bc description cause like. Why would you expect people to take interest in your work if you yourself say 'I have no idea what I'm doing' about it? Have some confidence in your stuff, man.

Shit, this goes hard. Downloaded.

This is me!

Yup, has definitely happened to me too.
Two tracks in, I'm enjoying this. Maybe the HaNL comparison is a bit out there though, haha.

Mostly there because of tracks 3 (nobody home) and 5 (choi min sik), I'm not the one who designated it that haha. I've had like 4-5 people say nobody home reminds them of HANL though. I'm not really sure what I'd call it. I never intended for it to be shoegaze to begin with. Hell, I only listened to Loveless in its entirety for the first time a month ago. But, gaze is what people have said, so that's what I labeled it.

Listened to your stuff a while back, I still listen occasionally, mostly to your side though.

shhhhh. that sucks though. hopefully they add the downloads back, I'd hate to run out

I think you were the first person to give me feedback desu

These vocals are great. I like this a good bit in general. Feels a little creepy honestly, but maybe I'm projecting since it reminds me of the slowed down night driving song in the Twin Peaks premiere that I loved so much.

youtube.com/watch?v=XWkGGda7hX8

One thing - I like the riff a lot, but 4 minutes of the exact same riff with pretty much no variation in the background instrumentation is tedious as hell. I did listen to around the 3 minute mark (where you kinda changed it up with a solo-ish bit, but not much else) but I'd really recommend at least a bit more variety.

i need help finding this one album on bandcamp, it was like dark ambient and experimental and it was made by some guy who was in sound design, i think it was called "afraid & uncertain" or something like that and the album cover had a big ampersand symbol on it, anyone have it?

Just released this split with See Through Buildings and i have a split with Ritual Chair coming up

If you want to continue in this direction/style, you really should be more ambitious and clean up your sound. This rather sounds like the "experimental" wankeries of your average "bedroom musician", except for that it gets much better on the ambient/piano parts (because you're already experienced in making ambient music).
There's too much reverb on this, but on some tracks it actually helps making it sound huge and mysterious.
You say it's for the fans of clipping, suicide, merzbow and techno animal
I would just go with Death Grips, your music might be similar to DG but I don't really hear the other artists you mentioned.
I'm a sucker for industrial hip-hop though, and I think you should find yourself a good rapper, and make an album.
Sounds pretty professional. Every instrument sounds so juicy. How long have you been making music?
The new song is promising, I hope you'll keep your drums this punchy throughout the whole album. I have to admit your early repertoire was pretty boring.

I mean, fair enough, I feel like the elements of those other artists are still there, they were pretty influential to the sound, but that's how I look at it at least.

This is pretty fuckin good m8. Get an album together.

I prefer your hip hop remixes over your straight vaporwave, for what its worth.

This is perfectly decent synthwave music. I do like how you keep the bass a little punchy throughout. Gives your stuff more identity. Oceanside is a banger.

I'd rather be blunt and honest with you then you continue to make bad music.

so deep, you must be quite interesting and very meaningful with your views and interests, I just have to know more about you

We've all been musicians since we were in our teens but didn't get together until 2014. The singer was doing more traditional piano driven stuff before we formed up and moved into this weird groove fuzz rock thing we've got going now. We are lucky enough to get to record out of this amazing studio in our home town called Black Watch Studios. I'm 90% sure Sufjan came here to record parts of Carrie & Lowell. Those dude are some of the most talented sound engineers I've ever met.

Here's the album that song was cut from if you wanna hear more:

costellobandok.bandcamp.com/album/conscious-trip

you're in the biggest fag in the thread, good job

How did you make this in audacity?

Darion.bandcamp.Com
>alt pop, dreampop, grunge, slow core

>I'm 90% sure Sufjan came here to record parts of Carrie & Lowell
That's amazing
You've got a great fuzz tone, although the mids get a bit overbearing, and you can hear the frequencies "fighting" with each other. That isn't really a complaint though.
As for the barebones/repetitive riffing, sometimes it sounds good and fits the music, sometimes it doesn't. "Conscious trip" fits the music, it reminds me of psychedelic/stoner rock a lot, but it's not that clusterfucky.

im also curious. last time i checked audacity has no sequencer

hey thanks for the feedback!

i assume this is you holy shit this is dense af the production style isn't exactly my bag the layered vocals are disorienting (in a good way) gotta dig more into this

This is terribly tasteless, which is a shame because I can hear there was a lot of work put into it
