Paul's boutique

Can we agree this is the greatest hip hop album of all time?

it just seems so unjust

but yeah, it's very good

Unjust? Iterate.

It's great and important, but I don't think it's the best. It's in the top 10 though

well they were sort of brooklyn hipster wannabe kids

Yes but they realize this and use that to break typecasting

Its good, but I think we all know it would be a gross perversion of justice if some white bois created the GOAT hip hop album

true, and i do really like them so..

"we wuz rappers n sheit"

not quite

sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit

Not varied enough. They use the same Godamn drum loop throughout %90 of the project

it has a strong theme to it yes, but isn't that what a opera is supposed to?

Do operas use one fucking drum loop

yes, it was very typical in the early 1800's

The loops have similarities, but no.

Personally I go with this one.

Money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money motherfucker

personnaly i realy discover them with check your head... so i really prefer this one

is this a good album to get into hip hop?
I loved The Low End Theory, but unfortunately cannot distinguish bad and good hip hop.
I love Ill Communication and like some stuff from Straight outta compton

>is this a good album to get into hip hop?
nope

and what would you suggest. user?

Start with Public Enemy, Eric B and Rakim and Run DMC. Then Biggie's first, doggystyle and Illmatic. Pick and choose from there, make sure you grab some Outkast and Pac.

If you like tribe check out de la soul

Ill Communication is clearly their master piece.

Thats nots Liquid Swords, boy.

This is one of the best albums in Hip Hop history.

As much as I love Paul's Boutique, I think it is on par with Licensed to Ill even though they are very different albums.

greatest hip hop is probably Ready to Die, Illmatic, Midnight Marauders, 3 Feet High, By All Means Necessary and It Takes A Nation

I hate this overrated pile of garbage

Samples aren't as mindblowing as people make them out to be. The MCing is absolutely terrible and obnoxious to listen to. The whole thing aged like absolute shit and reeks of trendy 80s rap.
