did you just get your first job or something? Did you get upset for your manger telling you what to do?

they are trained to be very Machiavellian and passiva agressive and disrespectful. They basically think of their employees as niggers to be exploited. That's why you don't every worry about quitting without notice once you have another job.

I was a good manager as long as the employees were doing their job.

Are you doing your fucking job?

Just kill the fucking cunt and do everyone a favour

They are assholes to make sure you are doing your job

Managers are generally decent if the people they're there to manage are going what they're paid to do.
If you do your job then your manager won't have a reason to complain.

Stop being a nigger who blames your own shortcomings on the actions/attitudes of others.

Theres one of them and however many employees

Try to imagine your manager dealing with your entire staffs problems and his own bosses

Its way to typical of a entry level employee to think they are treated unfair instead of trying to work WITH the boss

Managers usually have bosses that are bigger cunts to them then they are to you. Plus getting a group of people to work together on something they dont really care about is a pain in the ass.

I've had several different jobs which had me in very different roles and from what I find upper management forget what it's like to work from the bottom. To them you're just a number or a tool. Very rarely will I find someone in management who is actually decent. They do exist but you'll be hard pressed to find some. Even if your role is professionally specific that management cannot do, they'll still treat you like shit.

underaged, reported.

Can anyone explain to me this trend of people thinking work should be this cake walk where your bosses are always nice and everyone appreciates you

A lot of young people believe everything should just be handed to you, so they don't try and then get upset when they get fired "for no reason" when really they were not doing their job right.

Like the other guys said, a manager doesn't have any reason to complain as long as you're doing your job right. They're there for 3 reasons:

1. To handle scheduling. If you've ever tried to schedule in a dozen people, you know how much time it can take.

2. To make sure that the people they manage are doing their jobs right.

3. To ensure that everything overall is at an acceptable quality level.

If you're working at a pizza store, the manager is there to make sure you know when to work, how to properly cook the pizzas, and to make sure you're not just running errands when you're on a delivery - it doesn't take an hour to make one delivery, after all.

you sound like an unhire-able faggot that got his first job at a company (likely hospitality) that needed to hire in mass to fill gaps. don't worry, you'll be weeded out, jobless, and back to disappointing your loved ones very soon.

in the mean time, consider the following; you're a piece of shit. you got hired to do a job that you are slacking off on, or not doing at all. I'll just assume mommy and daddy told you it was time to get your first job, and you're such a crippled fucking NEET that your well established coworkers have been rolling their eyes at the even just the mentioning of your name.

Stop bitching Alex
You look like you are goofing around a lot.
Its about your image.
Also get back to work

You work hard and you do right by me, I'll bend over backwards for you. Act like a nigger, I treat you like a nigger. Something tells me you're not in the first category...

They are unhappy cause they have to manage retards and faggots like you OP

I worked my way up through a company to middle management. A facilitator as you emerifags would say.

I had to monitor production levels. See to it that machines were serviced. Nip things in the bud as soon as they cropped up.

My fellow workers were twice my age, but didn't have the faculties or the drive to keep things to a schedule or production plan.

Basically, if you fuck about, the company has no product, no product no sale, no sale no cash, no cash end of month no money, no money no pay.

Number 42 you have been warned repeatedly on the shop floor, don't make me turn this into something formal.

Get back to fucking work

Every boss I have ever had has spoken to me in nothing other than a condescending tone. Like Im fucktard of the century, in spite of caring more about my work ethic above all. But I didnt go to college so I guess thats what I deserve.

As a person that manages people this is not true. The real reason is that people are awful, lazy and greedy. After you deal with constant bullshit from people crying about everything you become jaded and don't give a fuck about them anymore.

Not at all user. I never went on to higher education. But had university fags asking me questions they have 10 s of thousands of britbong tea and biscuit tokens of debt.

For what? Ask the manager guy what to do

You do have less empathy I'll give you that

funny that i and many on my floor think our manager is a great person and good at his job. on the other hand there are a few who keep complaining about how mean, unfair and a general asshole he is.

one group is always keeping deadlines and never fuck around when they have a job to do, the other group are a bunch of dead weights with extreme overtones of incompetence at the jobs they are paid to do.

can you guess which one of those two groups think the manager is an asshole?

do the job you are paid to do and stfu.

you know what the term least common denominator means right?

it's because you suck at your job and you have a shitty attitude. They're not your friend, they're your manager, just smile and not and get the job done.

I get this attitude a lot.

>"Buh I wuz only ten minutes late! What's the big deal?"

As Bill Gates himself once said, "Showing up on time is the first 50% of your job. If you can't do the first 50%, you can't do the last 50%."

>"Buh I NEED dis weekend off to go party wit muh friends!"

Sorry but you aren't in high school anymore. We'll do our best to accommodate and schedule around holidays and sick days but the reality of being an adult is you don't always get what you want. Especially if you've only been working here for less than a month.

>"Fuck that! I ain't coming in to work on my day off!" or "Why do I have to trade shifts? My day off is MY day off."

See above.

Also, if you have time to play with your cell phone, you have time to tidy up. "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean."

Couldn't have put it better myself.

I pitched a day shift against the night shift. Carefully selected group to do nights.

Some drinks, some smoked and I gave them 20 quid for a takeaway each night.

I know from the cameras they ducked about. But they got the job done first. Some just blatantly went to sleep. I didn't care, targets were met.

Day shift however. Bunch of fuckin gender fluid mental illness types. Best I got even giving them gifts was 80% target.

Some people understand work, some don't.

This

they have narcissism personality disorder.
look it up.

>time to lean, time to clean

I learned from a young age if you want to walk across a building site or factory, you betta have something in your hand

Quads of truth.

This is real life:
What OP is talking about is middle management, where its not what the business does but the money and budgets that run it. You are now a widget, OP. Enjoy your ulcer

Shit rolls down hill user. I'm glad I'm in the middle. It's just a stream, not a pile

Managers are literal garbage in my experience. Overwork the hardworkers and give the slackers a pat on the back.

This can be true of people that reach upper management. But when you stop being an edgy college kid and actually manage people. You'll find out for yourself that the majority of people you manage are lazy and entitled. At work I feel more like a babysitter than someone who manages professional adults. People are awful.

Just bumping for OP.

>he's the roodypoo

Most managers are assholes because they shouldn't be managers. Most companies promote the person who is best at a given job to be the manager of that job. This is idiotic as managing and the job usually require very different skills. Most managers do not have the skills they need to manage and it frustrates them that they are no longer good at their jobs and that they can't teach their underlings to be as good as they were. It's basic management theory, which is almost universally ignored because most people suck at being managers.

I love when they ask for a min of your time to bitch about the people they stand next to. Then when confronted, they're best pals.

Grown men bitch like women at work. Stfu clock number 42 and get back to work!

People like OP make us into the 'unfair people' we are.

Cause you won't stop whining

We had this one kid that got hired. He was 18-19 and he lasted a week beacuse he told the manger "stop acting like my mom and telling me what to do."

OP

Worked my way to upper management over a decade at a company. The first thing I noticed is you cannot give people any slack, the expression "if you give them an inch they will take a mile," couldn't have possibly rung more true.

Case in point, I took over for a GM that was terrible at his job. Payroll checks were issued by him on Tuesdays. The checks themselves weren't cash-able till Friday, yet once employees got wind that checks were in the building they pleaded with him to release them so they "could see how much they made." Every person that got their check early was told that if they cashed their check before Friday, it would incur a $50 fine from ADP, and that HR would be deducting that from their next weeks check. Lo and behold, just about every single person got stuck in a cycle where they couldn't resist, they would take their checks to RepubliCash (a fool and his money are soon parted) the moment they got them, who charged them a flat rate for cashing the checks early as well. By the time it was said and done they would lose $75 on their paychecks just to cash them early. But it didn't stop with them either, since they were getting paid early, the people with direct deposit eventually started to weigh in and demand to be paid early too.

Enter me, taking over from the previous GM. I filed my payroll reports Thursday at 3:30 every week, so delivery of checks was on Friday before 5pm every week. You wouldn't believe the uproar this caused, I spent months telling staff members to suck it up and learn to manage their money and time better. Eventually just about every person that was part of the cycle was fire anyways, because you guess'd it, they also sucked at their jobs by a significant margin than those who understood how to manage their own money better.

Oh wow you're such an alpha fucking genius

because there employees are posting on the chan instead of fucking working you dumb fucking cunt.

sure am hyper poor. why don't you go take out a payday loan or something.

Top bantz. Where did you manage, Autism Awareness?

You did good user. This retard generation needs to learn the hard way.

Either

A. Youre doing a crap job and dont recognize it but they do

B. Its exactly as you described and they have a little power trip

C. Theyre manager of a retail job and old enough theyre starting to feel bad about how long theyve been there.

D. Their management position is of importance but theyre insecure or ignorant yet aware leading to defensive behaviors

>worked his way into upper management at a red lobster

>there employee's

Is why your a neck beard.

Learn how to grammar, you get me?

>this is the best I can come up with.

So what's your situation? Are you a NEET?

They gotta walk a fine line. All the managers I've worked under who are nice guys/girls have sucked and were fired or quit. The total assholes always kept their jobs and kept everybody in line. My current manager is nice for the most part but can be an evil bitch when she has to be. I think she's great because nobody crosses her or that switch gets flipped. It seems very two faced when one moment she's laughing and agreeing with you and another she's very bluntly telling how to do your job because nobody has time for any bullshit. It's necessary so she doesn't get walked all over by her employees and then fired for their bullshit.
