What a jump by Piotrek! For once he can actually get his best jump in the competition, as opposed to the usually good training jumps. Just great, fun to see how much the inrun position has changed over the Horngacher-era.

when I was a kid I jumped. my dad jumped too in his younger days. used to be 2 hills nearby.

I honestly think it's a joke sport but it's fun to watch once in a while.

What is happening with Freund?
I've seen people talk shit about Peter Prevc but no one mentions him for some reason.

He had a hip surgery recently and couldn't train much.

Freund was injured and has underwent surgery during summer. It is no wonder he isn't yet in top form.

It seems like speed at takeoff isn't super correlated with distance.

Basically only 5 left who could realistically win 4 hills now: Kraft, Stoch, Hayboeck, Eisenbichler, Tande
Cene Prevc, Tepes, Fettner and Zyla aren't good/consistent enough and everyone else is already too far behind.

Between 2001 and 2003 he was really out of this world. And he had this weird thing with his right ankle as well, without that injury he'd dominate even harder.
Anyway, it's good to see Stoch getting back into form and rest of our team following.
