There are no waifu or caped men in it, so...

Now as someone who enjoyed the book, McAvoy seems unsuited for the role of Bruce Robertson who is a grizzled, hefty middle aged man.

McAvoy would seem better suited to the other, younger cop whose name I've forgotten.

Believe me he was fucking perfect in this, I never had any idea he could be such a good actor

The ending is fucking amazing.

Same rules apply

>no waifu
>what is imogen poots
I hoped you've seen Green Room too

sieg heil

same rules apply

I saw the ending coming but not the cross dressing

I read the book in Amsterdam a few days before watching the movie at home.

Book>>>>>>>>movie, but the movie is definitely entertaining .

>same rules apply

does that imply that the younger cop will go the same way as Bruce?

Great movie, teared up at the end but the jump scares were really unnecessary

This movie is one of my favourites

tried so hard to like it

but i just didn't

>tried so hard
Damn right this film is try hard

>Why have I never seen this talked about here?
Because you haven't been paying attention.

Give Choke a try if you liked Filth.

>mfw the spooky monster jumpscares

>white guy an heroes after getting cucked by the BBC

This movie IS Sup Forums incarnate...

Another good film about a horrible cunt getting ahead is Kill your friends.

Because you're new

ikr, my cuc k card isn't even validated yet

>There are no waifu

Wasn't he blackmailing and fucking that jailbait or something? Or are you telling me that Sup Forums isn't into that kind of shit?

Do you know where we are?

Too old

According to Welsh he was perfect for the role. In the other hand he said the rest of the characters look different of how he saw them in his mind

It's the shittiest adaptation of a book I've ever seen

That wasn't what made him an hero.

It was getting back to be a street cop, getting played by lennox and according to the book getting kick out of the fremasonry society (because they always knew of him killing the black guy, asian man in the movie but in the movie gorman's people kill the asian guy).

nah he was just insane. Irvine Welsh doesn't have to rely on forced themes or hammy subtext to entertain, he's just a great story teller.

As is always the case, the movie doesn't do the book justice. They cut out pretty much everything to do with him murdering his brother and being abused by his father, relegating it to a handful of dream sequences. Plus, there's no tapeworm. I'd have liked to see the throwback to Trainspotting, too.

Billy Elliot was fucking great, though. As was the guy playing Clifford Blades.

>no tapeworm

BRUCE! I think you're a bit soft in the head yyyyyyyeeeeessssss?

Are you an exited newfag or something?

I couldn't understand a word when I watched it

Fucking Cucklandians

I just thought it was Sup Forumscore af

The plot twist is sightly better on the book.

He starts saying stuff like me, us in a lot of his private conversations near to the end. And you can see how his sanity is starting to fade little by little

i don't get the ending of "same rules apply" some one care to enlighten me?

in the book he's not actually hefty
ever since he contracts the tapeworm he talks about how he's been losing weight and how his belt size has gone down a few notches

whole throughout the story he's been judging people as weak and such
but then in the end it turns out he's the one who's really weak; his friends were covering for him
so he has to cast the same judgment on himself, hence "same rules apply"

Believe you me, mate, he was fucking great in it. BELIEVE YOU ME

>Love really hurts without you

I really enjoyed the ending credits

The soundtrack as a whole was really great

That funk cover of Valerie gets played on Craig Charles literally every week kek

>Why have I never seen this talked about here?
Because you came to this board this year.
