You got the first album correct.

The only song I remember from this album is I love you golden blue. Great song btw.

Washing Machine, no doubt

My personal fav too. I like the feeling of "let's just lay this songs as they are" that you get from tunes like starfield road or androgynous mind. One of their least pretentious albums, I think they reached the perfect mix of pop and experimental noisy shit with this one and daydream nation.

I've seen valid cases made for Sister, Daydream Nation, and Goo. EVOL also has a sizable following but I feel like a part of that is just because EVOL is more unique in their discography.
Nah, people generally like it. Underrated are Bad Moon Rising, Experimental Jet Set, and A Thousand Leaves.
They have said that they wanted it to be more relaxed and almost lo-fi as opposed to the heavy studio stuff they had gotten into with the past couple records.
