My favourite rhyme cliche is
>down on my knees
>begging you please
>standing here
>I realize
>you are just like me
Name 3 songs which do this which aren't Cecilia or Tired Of Sex
The Beatles - Mr. Moonlight
Hollyn - Alone
Ayo - Down On My Knees
>fly so high
>touch the sky
STANDING
ON THE EDGE
OF THE CRATER
>you fucking queer
>in my eyes
>makes me want to flee
GENERALS GATHERED IN THEIR MASSES
JUST LIKE WITCHES AT BLACK MASSES
>you look so good standing there
>in your american apparel underwear
I don't get it, isn't american apparel a kinda creepy, sexist company? Why would you reference that if all things if you want to get with a girl? Also, "underwear" is not a sexy word.
WANT TO MAKE HISTORY
BUT WHOS TO JUDGE
RIGHT FROM WRONG
>niggers
>niggers
>tonight
you can't jippa the dippa
>WE WILL NEVER SLEEP CAUSE SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK
>WE WILL NEVER REST TILL WE'RE ALL FUCKING DEAD
it's an attempt to shoehorn sincerity into the lyrics, to mask the fact it is such a cliche line.
but as you say it doesn't work as it is so contrived, and comes off a bit creepy.
>you'll never live like common people
>you'll never so whatever common people do
>STANDING THERE
>WITH MY NAPPY HAIR
>AND MY DIRTY GEAR
A local opener I saw recently did this. I thought of threads like this and it made me laugh
