And it also upsets me that people expect historical accuracy in a military shooter.

The game would be pretty shit if it was accurate, but it's not going to be, instead it will be an alternate depiction of WW1. Realistically there would be fuck all attachments to put on guns, and even if there were basically all they really used in the war were bolt-action rifles and magnums, not a Mauser like what the cover shows off, and yes of course an inaccurate depiction is going to make a bunch of uneducated pricks think this shit is realistic, but all in all I'd say it looks like it's going to be a great game.

I don't see the issue. The campaign will probably revolve around the haarlem hellfightes or whatever. It is not like they would be directly implicated with white regiments or else it is clear that dice has no clue what they are on about. I don't think it would affect mp either.

It's historically accurate that they did fight. If heir ubiquitous then it's shit. If it's part of the campaign where it makes sense then not really. Getting butt hurt by it not properly representing the percentage demographic is something you shouldn't be.

Overall, it depends on the context.

No, the black guy is one of the few protagonists that you'll get to play in the campaign. They didn't even show him or the Helldivers in the trailer, they were all white. Anyone who is legitimately triggered by this needs to be gassed, it's literally tumblr tier.

WWI was an European war. Great Britain, Germany, France or even Italy were the main protagonists of this event, but for some reason America is the fucking star once again, and not only that but a fucking nigger this time, the smallest minority of the war. American troops didn't do anything but guard duty until the very last two months of the war

there were technically alot more shipped overseas but they were SOS (service of supply) men not fighting units.

for america, there were 2 black combat divisions. so total combat troops were probably more like 20,000 troops.

still, even if it were 100,000 (which its not) my point still stands.

These are the same devs that play dress up with a swedish collector and pump whatever uniform and camouflage patterns look cool into their game. They have no military advisers of any kind, so it's strange that everyone suddenly expects accuracy when their past games have always lacked it.

What annoys me most is that once again the Germans are cast as "the bad guys", in WW1 they were not.
And playing as a German soldier would be much more interesting than an American seeing as the Germans fought for all the war, not just the last year like the Americans.

Also the Germans fought on every front so the possibilities for a varied and interesting single player campaign following a soldier to all those fronts would be much more interesting than seeing Jamal fight in the trenches.
