I like how you can tell exactly the moment the movie changes pace immediatly and never comes back. After he fought the gang all subtlety went out of the window and it added wackyness to a really dark comedy.
Any other examples of movies doing this? Like Psycho, where you can pinpoint exactly where the film changes.

It always looked great.
It always was great.
The only thing holding it back was the financial decision to cast Rogen in the lead instead of Danny McBride.
Even then, it wasn't enough to damage the movie. Just stopped it from elevating to the next level.
