I prefer PotPlayer but I have MPV as well. MPV is faster but PotPlayer has the better interface. The picture quality is negligible between the two.

On linux, I used to use mplayer but they didn't support https (couldn't stream youtube). Now I use mpv.

MPC is THE best.

All of my videos are shit quality so the player/settings really don't matter.
