This. The extended version helps, I was enjoying it for a third time last night, but not by much. Feels like they want to rush a universe quickly and reminds me of Amazing SpiderMan 2 in that aspect. DC needs to either 1.not create a cinematic universe and just do one-shots so as to have more contained and smaller stories or 2.do what Marvel does and have smaller self-contained movies in sequential order that feature characters from other movies. As it is DC is just throwing in concepts, stories, and characters into a blender and hoping it resonates with the public.

I doubt there really is anyone who despises DC, as many of us grew up on Batman and Superman in cartoons in the 90s. I watch DKR twice a month, ffs. DC should find another studio that actually respects the characters and stories. At least Marvel adapts well, fucking do that, DC. Man of Murder and BvS feel disjointed cause it presents drama in a realistic setting and then BOOM cartoon fights.

Yes and no. She helps in the doomsday fight and she is a gateway to what we call World building. it's very common in Superhero movies. Harvey Dent's role in Batman 89. Black widow in Ironman 2. Hawkeye in Thor. Spiderman in Civil war. Unnecessary maybe but hardly an actual problem.
