Finn, desu. Millie and Dustin are great and deserve the praise they're getting, but Finn is the unsung hero of the show. He had to carry the show more than any of the other kids, and he didn't have the benefit of jokes or superpowers.

What is local PD going to do when evidence points to Barb hopping a bus out of town before they found the car? At most they can try and contact the police stations at the possible destinations and have them look out for her.

Funny thing is that some guy caught from the general actually caught him there.

It's mainly because he's the straight guy in the series. People tend to gravitate toward supporting roles because their more interesting, but that has more to do with the writing than anything else. Eleven was a badass telepath and the intrigue of the story revolves around her. Dustin is comic relief and gets a bunch of funny jokes. Mike is just a kid an average kid. It's not interesting, but that's not his fault. His acting is great and he honestly has to carry a lot more story without the benefit of those extra character things.

I feel like he's more than that, really. Lucas is average sceptic guy, and Dustin is average funny guy, but Mike is good, emotionally open kid whose involvement with El practially triggered all the action/search for Will. I may be biased, but I feel like his character was the most wholesome.
