Refer to previous comment regarding life choices.

they do. no reevaluation required.

>So you work 8 hours a day, then get home and play games.
life well spent

Works out cheaper than paying to use online services, payine more for games plus you get better graphics/gameplay by paying more initially for a PC than you would over the lifetime of a console.

Why do you care of this is our passion? People spend thousands on clothes/handbags etc every year yet it's an issue when we spend £1000 on a PC every few years?

Just upgraded mine.

Case is NZXT, also water cooled and 3 240 fans.

You sound upset that people can afford better shit than you.

I spent over 3k on my computer, and I use it for maybe a couple hours a week. If you have money, why not buy the best of something?

Oop, forgot accessories.

Headset: HyperX Cloud
Mouse: DM1 Pro
Keyboard: Generic (gonna get mechanical eventually)
Hells yea man, I wasn't a believer until I saw it. I used to think 60 was the pinnacle of smoothness, now it's just "ok". 144 is goddamn butter . Needs more GPU power to hit those higher fps obviously, totally worth it if you were considering

Yeah they actually managed to fucking surpass Intel. Although the only reason they did is because Intel isn't even trying when it comes to Desktop / laptop CPU's.

yeah am running his & hers both with 144 hz monitors. fkn paradise

Got a Acer Predator XZ321Q for £250, normal price is double that. 31.5 inches of 144hz VA panel orgasm

Intel Pentium 2 355mhz
128mb Ram
ATI 3d Rage Pro 8mb
10gb Harddrive

>Not having a Voodoo 3DFX.

...

you must really kick that minesweepers ass with this beast, like a septillion fps or maybe more

Normal laptop because im not a beta virgin and actually have a job

4 ram
intel atom
nvidia 480
2 inch
9mb

what kind of ultra mega faggot spends their time typing all of this shit out?

I got this computer for nothing at a thrift store to play old games on. I've been thinking about getting a voodoo card for it for a while now.

theres c&p for it you know

faggot, real men would get 2 voodoo for some real sli shit n stuff

>quad SLI 390x's

Mistype aside, how do they scale? Any issues with microstuttering?

Master race coming through

Intel Core i5-4690 3,5 - 3,9 GHz (Haswell) Socket 1150 - boxed

Well psu I don't care rly it's a good one so it won't kill any pc parts or explode on my face.

>mobile processor
>after effects
>mac
the unholy trinity of kek

Yeah I'll just put a desktop processor in this rMBP you faggot. What's wrong with AE?

...

theres nothing wrong with after effects
that's a poor choice of computer for anything remotely complex in ae

need a laptop with a desktop grade processor and/or gpu? they exist. apple dont make them. apple dont make acceptable professional grade shit.

And where exactly did I say I was doing complex stuff in AE? This machine is mainly used for Sketch which is very lightweight.

>need a laptop with a desktop grade processor and/or gpu?
No, I have a desktop for that.

>apple dont make acceptable professional grade shit.
Except that's totally fucking wrong, because this is a work machine, professional work is the only thing this macbook does. Besides, it's not as if I have a choice anyway because I'm using mac only software and the only way to use OS X in a business environment is to buy a mac.

just uninstall ae then if you dont know how to use it

cant be a very high grade of professional work produced in a timely manner if its relying on that hardware

i'm not surprised at all my points and facts went totally over your head re: laptops with serious computing power for serious work

Having a bigger than necessary PSU is bad.

you are misinformed

>just uninstall ae then if you dont know how to use it
How about no. And how exactly does not having powerhouse hardware mean I don't know how to use AE? You know in the industry projects are sent to render farms instead of being rendered locally? Of course you don't because you're talking out your arse.

>cant be a very high grade of professional work produced in a timely manner if its relying on that hardware
Because no professional work is conducted on a maxed MBP? Just stop typing you degenerate.

monitor?

OS: Windows 10
CPU: i5 2320
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6450 1GB
Motherboard: idk some stock intel motherboard
Storage: 500gb HDD
Optical Drive: Generic dvd

its like 6 years old

(You)
Oh yeah, the case is a standard modern design customized (plus control Multibay(s)) in extent since programming(it is relevant).

Nothin' special.
Got a new case today too.

Why windows 8?

>You know in the industry projects are sent to render farms instead of being rendered locally?
lol
that happens in rare cases, final render occurs right at the very end
before that you still have to make the damn thing and on a mobile processor its so much fucking harder because they're so unresponsive. terrible choice of computer for after effects.

ironic how you want me to stop typing. i want you to keep typing.

that was quite beautiful

When I was building on a budget.
Friend provided the windows 8 disk/key
I didn't want to buy the OS.
I kinda want to try Linux.

Cpu: 5820k @4.2 Cooled with and H100i V2

Linux is a prime tool while in the hands of a programmer.
Consider it, if interested in coding

...

>spending $1000 on a computer that shows you have money and dont give a fuck about their opinion
yeah they must

Budget-core.
Well done, good options

Working on an M1 v1 build right now. I like the challenge of water cooling this little thing.

Case:Corsair forgot name.
CPU:Ryzen 1700 Overclocked to 4ghz stable.
Mainboard: Asus X370 Crosshair
Graphic Card: x2 Nvidia 1080ti SLI
RAM: 16GB DDR4-3466mhz
SSD: 500 GB Samsung nvme pro (boot, and games)
HDD: 1TB WD 7200rpm hard drive for storage.
Soundcard: HD-Audio Onboard
PSU: EVGA 1000w supernova

You've spent much.
Add Temps

PSU's are optimized to run at like 80-95% under load. If you never reach those percentages because you bought an oversized PSU then power output wont be optimized and your PSU's fan will never reach it's maximum rpm.

Custom water cooling cpu/gpu. Are you kidding? The cpu alone i saved a shitload of $$$$$ compared to if i have gone to a 8 core intel. 300 vs 1000+ I literally bought a extra 1080ti becaue of the savings.

*50-80% load

Case: NZXT Phantom 530
CPU: Intel i7 4770k
Mobo: ASUS Maximus Hero VI
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX SC ACX 780
RAM: 8Gb Corsair Dominator Platinum
SSD: Kingston HyperX 120Gb
HDD: WD 1Tb Black / WD 500Gb
PSU: NZXT 850

huh, that sounds logical.
Kudos

Depends on the category.
>Bronze
>Silver
>Gold?
>Diamond?
Something like this

did you buy it bro?

very nice machine am fek jelly

Not really, the metal rating is just a matter of the overall efficiency rating, but the load efficiency curve remains about the same for psus.

johhnnyguru.com has some good info on psus

Fix
>No cat
>Bronze
>Silver
>Gold
>Platinum

>Projects are only rendered once
Why are you pretending to know what you're talking about? Do you have nothing better to do than humiliate yourself on the internet?

I mean, if i just use a meter right now, i'll see less kW/h providing based on the "titles"

I spent a day looking at dead Bill do cock magic. Nigga, did you even get your dick our for Bill?

#DOFB

Nice monitor, going back to the dark ages of 60hz and sub 1080p

Wasteful with those monitors.

The 970 actually handles 1080p quite well. Got the other monitor for free which is why they don't match.

Is 75C too hot for a cpu?

yes, near the average limits

forgot pic.
If it's near average doesnt that mean its not too hot?

well, yeah.
It is hot when > 70.

Is that idle?!

Oh god no. I just got done playing something. Idle is like 55C

cpu is amd athlon x4 860k. dunno why it reads as that. case is deepcool tessaract

...

55c idle is really hot though. Mine temps at load are 50c average

Ah ok I would still look into minimizing that . AMD rates the max temp as 72.4C. You on stock cooler?
