Why is this a thing?

Why is this a thing?

Freedom

add china

America doesn't have retarded leftist-economic politicians in there government

Capitalism and H1B visas.

china says otherwise

Population growth, a massive internal market, abundant natural resources, peace, stability, democracy.

...

China only has like 7k gdp/capita due to there former communist economics

Free market

...

Duh, they have almost three times the population and the only reason they are catching up now is because they have opened up the free market

...

Collection of 50 states which could be countries of their own.

Of course collectively we're going to have a huge GDP.

>yfw Hillary is elected and China becomes more capitalistic

When you got the Petro-dollar you got the golden ticket for the world economy. Now you need to protect it by fucking up every middle eastern country who disobeys your Jew masters and shipping the leftovers to Europe so your land of the free can be raped by your own niggers in peace.

>domestic product
>US
So what the hell are those American products everybody seems to own? All the shit around me seems to be made either localy or in China/Japan/Korea.

add Australia

It's called being the greatest country on Earth or anywhere else, ever. MURICA.

Yeah but what does the GDP being high mean for the average citizen?

It's basically a useless measure anyway. How does it help the average person?

Protip: It doesn't. Just more money in the hands of the government and the wealthy.

>Not comparing per capita
How lazy can you get

Nsa and cia exist to patent things that other countries discover before they are able to.

The USA also has about four times the population of germany or britain

>freedom

Given that America has $10/hour minimum wage, I don't think they need to produce much stuff to have that large GDP. If they produce expensive stuff and consume it inside the US, they will have large GDP without flooding the marked with their products. Also, GDP includes services, which you cannot see as tangible things around you.

>GDP
>Meaning anything

If you want to compare countries you look at REAL GDP PER CAPITA AND CROSS REFERENCE IT WITH RACIAL AND CRIME STATISTICS.

GDP literally doesn't mean shit.

>$

there is your answer
