Best Joy Division song?

For me it's "Twenty-Four Hour". Best instrumental and best lyrics.

Candidate

Twenty-Four Hours is amazing. The slow/fast dynamic gives the song a great nervous tension, and the lyrics are so bleakly powerful.

That said, New Dawn Fades is my favorite. That bass line and intro are so overwhelming.

Top 5:
1. NDF
2. Decades
3. 24 Hours
4. Heart and Soul
5. Colony

Disorder

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR A GUY TO COME AND TAKE ME BY THE HAND

or Transmission

COULD THESE SENSATIONS MAKE ME FEEL THE PLEASURES OF ANOTHER MAN?

ye disorder

Guide

Atrocity or Decades

Twenty four hours going into the eternal is one of the best two song streaks ever.

A means to an end.

I love Decades so much. The second verse, when the pace slows to a crawl, is incredibly haunting. It might be cliche, but it's a very fitting end to their final album.

4. A Means To An End
5. Shadowplay

fuck you

>tfw 5 years older than when ian killed himself
>tfw i read about his suicide and thought 23 was old
>The times she cried,
Too frail to wake this time.

1. the kill (not the warsaw version)
2. passover
3. interzone
4. isolation
5. they walked in line

Dreams never end

For entertainment they watch his body twist
Behind his eyes he says, 'I still exist.'

atrocity exhibition is some of the most iconic drumming for me

Finally, a good Joy Division thread that doesn't involve shitty memes or talk about crappy artificial people that only wear their shirts because "they look cool".

And yeah, i'm in the "Twenty Four Hours is one of the best JD songs" camp too.

I'm always amazed at Bongs that grew up during his era and didn't commit suicide.

Instead they are making their country commit suicide.
