Mallard Discography (2 albums) 1975-1976
>Progressive rock, country rock
Samples:youtu.be

After they split from Captain Beefheart, the "Magic Band" went on to form Mallard with another singer. These are really interesting forgotten albums IMO. They tread through basic country rock territory, only to have oddly fitting progressive rock flourishes that reminds you these are the guys who played on TMR. It's all the eclectic songwriting skill of the band without Beefheart's zany saxophones and poetry.
