Can someone explain to me what the Paris Accord is and why Trump decided to not be apart of it?

Can someone explain to me what the Paris Accord is and why Trump decided to not be apart of it?

Most of the press is very vague on what the Paris climate accord actually is.

Im not very political as it is.

So... you want to go to a site FULL of fake information, bait, and people who will call you a faggot and ask for political information to be broken down and explained to you? God speed user.

The Paris Accord was an agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and move toward renewable (or at the very least much cleaner) energy worldwide. This means that developed nations would be partially responsible in assisting developing nations move away from fossil fuel based energy. Those developing countries had more lax requirements and responsibilities, due to their developing status.

He doesn't want to pursue clean renewable energies because he wants to go back to using fucking coal.

it was an agreement with the rest of the world to keep talks open about being more green in energy, and produce less pollution and stuff.

It was basically a diplomatic accord for countries to recognize that pollution is really bad and we should start figuring out solutions.

There was no reason to pull out of it because it had no requirements. Trump just wanted to be a troll.

Paris doesn't believe they have enough cocks in the mouths of their citizens. Social and economic distress has ensued. The people WANT DICKS IN THEIR MOUTHS. So they have made some deals with neighboring counties to supply more cock for goods and services. Trump, being the straight, Alfa male pussy destroyer he is said, "NO!"
In a nutshell faggot.

The Paris climate accord is an agreement to, amongst other things, reduce carbon emissions and go to sustainable energy. Since those things are expensive and, unlike Europe, the crumbling United States spawned a Trump that thinks its a hoax, Trump won't sign it.

Continuing.

Trump thought it was a bad deal because it made the US accountable for a lot of pollution, which it is. It's the second worst polluter and the worst developed nation. He's backing out because it's a "bad deal."

It had huge reductions on co2 emissions for the US now and the ssame reductions for everyone else in 30 years. That puts us at a huge disadvantage. It was a crap accord and he did the right thing. And if we get 30 years like everyone else we would be in it.

The US is literally the worst polluter, and you aren't the only ones who didnt get a 30-year plan, that's for developing nations. Where did you read that?

So basically it would have held the US accountable for it's fair share of emissions but didn't give the companies enough reasonable time to fix it and move to greener energy?

>literally the worst polluter
No, it's not.

What is China

>The US is literally the worst polluter,

Sort of. A decade to reduce emissions by a quarter isn't awful, and big oil companies were 100 behind it, ExxonMobil even made a statement to the president NOT to pull out of it.

Most energy companies are already in a good place to start implementing renewables, and we should be making the move to nuclear anyway. Trump didn't like it because he's still trying to pander to rural American coal country, like most conservatives, like said.

Also one of the biggest criticisms of the agreement was a lack of way to enforce it. We could have just taken longer to get there and they wouldn't have done anything. This was literally just Trump dick waving.

It is second though.
In front of the entire European Union.
And India.

Not to mention that if you count ALL emissions ever, the US is first. And by a very wide margin.

It's aiming at reducing the effects of global warming for the next decades. Indeed Trump as a proud saudi oil shill withdrew so oil companies continue making money off of the people unhindered

Another pointless nothing that gives politicians and excuse to spend tax dollars on trips around the world.
Its supposed to be an agreement to cut carbon emissions and use green energy, without considering green energy is a fledgling industry that's still many decades from being cost, and even environmentally efficient. THE ONLY way to "move to green energy" is move money from grants and social services to grants for companies actually making progress in energy, and that's something individual states/foundations do. It's all nonsense so left cuck politicians can virtue signal.

You're right, anons. The worst "developed" nation. Just ahead of India, another developing nation. Or are you trying to say the US needs the same amount of time to get its shit together as countries that are barely out of their industrial age?

>what is nuclear

Like seriously, why is that not the focus? It's clean and efficient, and accidents have historically been due to things that were unavoidable, like forces of nature, or being Russian. Nuclear is not fledgling. Wind is not fledgling. Anyone who says it's not viable is retarded.

>Those developing countries had more lax requirements and responsibilities, due to their developing status.
and also due the fact they pollute nowhere as much

China is doing a lo to help, dumbfag.

Well, yeah. I was referring more to China and India, who pollute a shit ton but are still ass-backwards. Made worse by the fact that even with lighter restrictions, China was set to BTFO the US anyway, and before their 30-year period, by a long shot.

You're so dumb it hurts, stop living in 2005.

Nobody wants a plant, or windmill farm in their back yard in their backyard
Vanity is the enemy

It's supposed to be about stopping global warming due to man made influence. This is why people like it.

In actuality it's an excuse for governments to put further restrictions and red tape around businesses and increase taxation. You know, because all the other money raised in green taxes has done so much good to curb global warming so far.

It's a scam. You can tell because it's written by politicians and they're telling you it's a good thing... they just need you to sign here and here... vote for the guy who likes it aaaaaaaaaaand the tax money is already gone!

Don't get me wrong here, I want to see man made influence on planetary warming stop, it's just that this thing will have no impact on that whatsoever.

Fucking this. Nuclear power will solve the problem for the medium to long term and allow widespread distribution of renewables in the meantime. I legitimately don't understand why so many people are anti-nuclear power. The accident in Chernobyl was brought about because of idiots (seriously, look up the series of events that led to it, it's a fucking joke) and Fukushima has had minimal impact despite it being built in the single most retarded place a reactor could ever be built. Modern designs are so far superior and safer that it almost boggles the mind. I genuinely can't think of a way to get a pebble bed reactor to blow up even if you tried.

cool story brah but china is still in first place and saying that it's doing a lot to help is like asking a toddler to clean the poop it made

They're doing more than the burgerclaps are, which is pretty bad. Sad!

I know a lot of ranchers in South Dakota don't care, cows don't give a fuck if there's a turbine, as long as there's still grass.

It is per capita.

>worst developed nation
Uhh, nope, that would be China.

smaller localized reactors...
