Naw GT was terrible. Goten got Yamcha-fied, and pretty much the only Characters that mattered were Goku, Pan, and Uub to a lesser extent.
GT LOGIC: SSJ2 can wipe the floor with Perfect Cell who is a combo of standard Cell, and Androids 17 & 18. But two Android 17's that fuse can take on SSJ4. Ok Kid.

Not to defend, but I always understood Cell added the strength of whoever he absorbed into himself. Fusions always seemed more exponentially powerful, like its multiplication rather than addition.

He's already passed on two offers to be "god". Once by Kami, after he beats Piccolo at the tournament, and then by Beerus/Whis to eventually be his successor as God of Destruction.
