Finishing high school this week and Xiu Xiu is my favorite group, seen 'em twice in the past year and they kicked ass both times
Oh to be 16 and drunk and sad
15/16 year old me loved this shit
That's me in my senior plus the when summer.
Saw them live twice in high school
Great shows but man they're kind of a shit band
Nothing will beat hearing this live tho: youtube.com
Not even a fan of this group anymore
I pretty much spent the first 3 years of high school listening to grunge. I kind of wish my time had been better spent.
unironically this
that and pink moon basically ages 13-18
That's me right now. I've been listening to Oh Comely all day.
I can relate because junior year (really all of high school) was grunge-mania for me.
same
nice dude
haven't seen them live but I did see jamie at the chapel of the chimes in san jose a little while back
he looked so fucking tired
I wanted to give him a hug but that's crazy cringy and if he was at a cemetery alone i can envision he didn't want to be bothered
>tfw youre 27 and still enjoy most of these ten years later
Pls don’t judge
i had found this in a very turbulent time in my life and it's had such a profound impact on me.
i love u phil
Every time I see this record I remember how horrifically abysmal its album cover is, Jesus H. Christ.
There was a time when Trailer Trash was my favorite song of all time. Later it was Long Distance Drunk, then Truckers Atlas, then Convenient Parking, then Bankrupt on Selling. I still love this album, especially conceptually, but I don't think I'll ever like it as much as when I was 16.
junior year. i'm old.

The new P.O.S album is killer
I was really big on Building Nothing Out of Something, every track was a favorite at some point
Everyone talks about the Glow pt. 2, but I fucking adored and still love It Was Hot, We Stayed in the Water
I cringe a bit looking back, but this album made me realise music could be more than entertainment desu

my BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD flows harshly
I'm sad enough, poor enough, and have enough of a propensity towards alcoholism that this album has only spoken to me more and more since i was 17
god, this album. it was one of the only like four CDs i had in my car and i pretty much never took it out of the disc tray. listened to the whole thing pretty much daily and still have every piece of it committed to memory and heart
imo The Glow is flat out one of the greatest songs of all time
...
Great album. Never see it mentioned around here
I had been eyeing "It Was Hot..." for a while, but you guys have convinced me to give it a listen. Wish me luck!
As for my obsession album, it was definitely Spock's Beard's "Snow." It came into my life during a period of great change and its story, trite and shitty as it seems to me now, really spoke to me back then. I still give it a listen every now and then.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING
Pretty much every Deftones album, mainly White Pony, SNW, Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan
Also this
WE LOVE YOU VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH
this is the first indie album i loved and i was obsessed, pivotal for me.

Neal Morse's Testimony was my jam when I was younger. Also The Flower Kings' stuff was a good time
Pretty much all of aphex twin's discography, including releases under his various monikers. Thought he was the greatest musician back then; still do.
that was a big one for me too
this album pretty much got me into indie, still enjoy it nowadays although i rarely play it
Regardless of the fact I know its just my nostalgia goggles I still love this.
album made my senior year bearable
Fuck me, right?
test bost
I had an odd obsession with this album when I was younger
