Seinfeld

Is this the single greatest offering that the medium of television has given us?

jew exaggerate, first season is shit

The first season is 5 episodes, it might as well be part of season 2, they both have the same title format

Honestly? Yes it is.

Season 4 was like one long episode where all the plot lines converged together at the end with Jerry's pilot.

It was ahead of its time

Sopranos and Wire are the best thing television has given us.

Seinfeld, Simpsons 2-8, Frasier and Arrested Development are right up there.

Pretty good show even today.

It broke the mold of sitcoms and inspired the current format you get today.

Guys like larry david are still living off it's popularity.

Sopranos is overrated.

>one day Seinfeld will be old and antiquated and the jokes will be stale

People use to say cheers was the greatest sitcom. No one cares about cheers now and no one will care about Seinfeld in 10 years.

Its under rated just by the fact that not everyone in America has seen it.

Your life is worthless.

>NBC is STILL paying Larry David the remainder of the 1 billion dollars.

I just don't understand. How can the reruns of a show be so popular its worth a gorillon dollars.

Seinfeld seems like its gained a revival of popularity with 18-25 year olds. I think todays hyper-ironic youth culture really appreciates seinfeld more than the 90s generation (which shows how ahead of its time it was)

yeah it's not diverse and multiculti enough

cheers was always shit

I mean its not like Seinfeld is all Larry David ever did.

Some might say (I wouldn't but some might say) that he surpassed Seinfeld with Curb. Both are top tier comedy

are any of Larry David's movies good? I get the feeling they aren't

Jerry Seinfeld is literally the wealthiest man in Hollywood because of the fact that, at any given time or place, a Seinfeld re-run is invariably playing.

GABAGOOL WHERES DA CANOLIS DREAM SEQUENCE DREAM SEQUENCE AM I A BAD MAN SHUT THE DOOOOOOOOR

Good show but the last season or two was painful.

>Sopranos and Wire are the best thing television has given us.

The Simpsons (Seasons 3-10) is on another level to anything else ever produced. By season 5 they were fitting about an hour's worth of material into 21 minutes, literally speeding up the voices at some points rather than make cuts. It was dense in a way a way a live action show couldn't possibly approach. This was a team of elite comedy writers (Swartwelder, Conan) let loose and at the top of their games. It will never be topped.

Go to bed Larry, it's time for your nap. Season 9 has some of the best episodes.

Just to add, Seinfeld is a big favourite of mine but it is comfy and feels like half speed compared to prime Simpsons.

your excuses are pathetic, just like the first season is

Some of that is intentional though. You could argue early simpsons had a pacing problem. There's a lot of nuances you can miss because of how rapid fire it is.

only the first season and the finale are bad

Not an excuse, an opinion, if u think it's bad then that's ok

Name 5 episodes where each on of those happen

Howsabout I name my fist to yous face you fookin fanook

sopranos is so overrated, I tried watching a couple of episodes years back but it was really shitty

This, the group would be considered very /fa/ by today's standards

1/2 is very clunky and often doesn't resemble the later seasons at all. 3 takes a long time finding it's feet and only has a few episodes as great as the next season

8 has a good amount of stinkers too, and I'd say even 7 starts to feel tired. Seinfeld prime is really only less than 4 seasons long

you literally CAN'T hate this show

(You)

>2016 seinfeld

jery get ipad

>can't figure it out
>asks some newman to set it up for him because newman's a nerd
>comedy ensues as newman reads his e-mail.

Reminder that Jerry was raped by Malcoms dad at the dentists office.

He also fucked a 17-year-old at the age of 39 and got away with it

no your mom is xd

whoops meant for

Fuck what anybody says, Season 9 was excellent.

Kramer "borrowing" Jerry's blender so he can make gravel (because he likes the sound of it crunching underfoot) will always be hilarious to me. I think it summarises his character perfectly.

no

>tfw Curb season 9 coming

but seinfeld is already more than 10 years old and people still care about it. it's still in syndication on several channels. the show will never stop being funny.

a true american hero

it's more than 20 years old

source?
i hope this is true.

Season 3 and on is GOAT television. By season 3 Kramer caught his stride and the show was unstoppable.

well, thank you sir!

this is true. I think he has like 800 million dollars because of it.

Official Patrician's Ranking of American TV:

1. The Simpsons
2. Seinfeld
3. The Twilight Zone
4. Twin Peaks
5. Mad Men

...

>the simpsons
aAHAHAHAHA OHOHOHO

That's stupid rumour.

It's not a rumour, my dude. Seinfeld is actually worth that much.

You wouldn't know. He said on Howard Stern it's not remotely true.

it's shit, sorry

Honestly, I'm English and I just don't get the appeal of this show. It's averagely funny, some of it cringey American humour, nowhere near best thing ever on television.

>English
>can't understand humor
What a surprise

Agreed it needs more rambling dialogue with no punchlines and then someone explodes.

I want to put my penis in Elaine's vagina

>American
>lol so randumb obvious humour slapstick bullshit

>British
>actual subtle intelligent humour, requires some wit

I bet you don't even understand sarcasm do you?

>cockroach can't appreciate real comedy
kek

>implying Monty Python isn't where lol so randumb humor got it's start
>implying Ricky Gervais is subtle or intelligent

if it's legal you aren't really getting away with it

>it's an "Elaine breaks up with her boyfriend because he didn't like all of her old Facebook pictures" episode
Seinfeld is just one of those shows that shouldn't have stopped airing. There's literally no way to run out of material.

...

sure they said that about the simpsons too. better to die a hero

I've literally never seen an unflattering photo of JLD, how does she do it?

the billions of her family might have something to do with it

Seinfeld ended on its ninth season, exactly 1-2 seasons before most TV shows (especially Simpsons) fall off the cliff into a landfill.

We should thank Jerry and Larry for knowing exactly where the end the show, before it could tarnish its reputation.

>actual subtle intelligent humour, requires some wit

This is what Brits actually believe

No

The sopranos is

Agreed

So was breaking bad

Nah, look at Trump's hair, you can be rich and still look like shit. I think these jewess' suck the life force from the rest of us to stay young.

>actual subtle intelligent humour, requires some wit

I thought this too until I actually started watching British comedy.

I'm pretty sure Larry said the same about his own wealth on Stern too.

Who else agrees that sopranofags are the fucking worst?

It's mediocre at best

It's a good show but I do feel it's overrated

Fug, any OCH link to that interview? Youtubejews (kek) took it down

Sorry, I caught it on YT. Can't believe it's gone!

>you're quite simply a pretentious twat!
>*measured laughter*

riveting

>Can't believe it's gone!
Cheeky m8

this

cheers is the himym of the 80s. seinfeld is infinitely rewatchable

do you think he fucked all the girls that appeared on his show as well?

>I'M SCARY BECAUSE I STARE AND BREATH HEAVY
>GABAGOOOL

I never understood this.

elaine is maximum qt

>implying you wouldn't shit your pants if such a huge fuck would come for you

>implying I can't briskly jog up some stairs and get away

a goldmine

...

...

>the tits on that broad
SAUUUUUUUCE?

youtu.be/T9W_jW4e_uY
>ywn be this alpha

>>ywn be this alpha
Fuck off, I never emotionally invest even 10% of myself into anyone I date.

>gabagool is mentioned 3 times in 86 episodes
>less than a single dream sequence per season
>he says shut the door one time

Do memers even watch the show? Or do they just repeat what they've read?

>HEY, ASSMAN

He's scary because he's a fucking mob boss. Say one thing wrong and even if he can't do anything to you, someone can, and will.

Seinfeld just has timeless bits to it that I think it will always be relevant.

I have a theory that he is sorta broke...he sold a bunch of his Porsches recently....and was on some deep cable reality show where he was playing with his dog or something
