You're the one listening to youtube recommendations core. There are a hundred better female folk artists for example Bridget St John.
her voice is monotonous
Too afraid to recommend stuff.
thats the style shes going for. listen to marika hackman. a similar but modern artist.
Tim Hecker - Ravedeath, 1972
Shogun Kunitoki - Vinonaamakasio
++++++adam Green
>Touché Amoré
man you sure showed me samefag
I like midori, tomppabeats, joji, never really got funkadelic, I'm glad you like Elliott Smith
Check out
Ryo Fukui - Letter from a Slowboat (japanese jazz piano)
Nick Drake - Pink Moon (similar to elliott)
Limes - Freshly Squeezed (similar to tomppabeats and joji)
I'll forgive you for lazyposting since you're cute and shy
I fucking love both of you.
That's all I came to say. These charts fucking rock. Check out Julien Baker, Big Thief, and Sorority Noise if you haven't yet. I made this chart a few weeks ago and already UL'd it on here but I'm too lazy to make a new one RN
I have listened to Marika Hackman and I like her. The difference is that she pulls it off... 'deep green' is an amazing track with interesting melody, sibylle doesn't have this aspect, she is the epitome of generic
Wasn't intended, I just happened to think of why I didnt' like her after I'd already posted.
+tomppabeats, hyper light drifter, In love w/ a ghost, funkadelic, midori, tom waits
holy shit dude I'm gonna save this chart. You shoud check out Soutaiseiriron - Tensei Jingle
Have heard the new Avalanches and Obsessions, not a big fan of either. Will check out Jackson C Frank tho
thanks man! i loved paramore's new album as well, admittedly still a huge fan of them haha
you should check out the folk general. You seem like you have lots to offer
not liking an artists vocal style isn't a reason to discount them sorry. the problem is on your end.
>not liking something about an artist isn't a reason to not like an artist
Really makes me think
dont reply to me again bitch
...
k
sorry you got butthurt because I don't like something you like, autismo
maybe! i've been pretty into more folksy stuff lately but it's a mixed bag. i don't really like limiting myself. + i feel like i still need to find more stuff before i dare offer anything haha
thanks for the free bump bitch
A lot of folk listeners like jazz, you should try to get into that! =)
>samefagging your own response 8 times to prove that you dont like something
whatever works autismo
? It's a chart thread, of course I'm happy to bump it because I want replies to my chart too LOL
hows that going?
>I'm samefagging right now but let me berate you for samefagging the same amount as me
Really makes me think
don't reply to me anymore bitch ;)
i've always been intimidated by jazz though! i only recently came out of my really limited music scene (like a year ago) so i feel like my taste is pretty surface level everything. i dig stuff like thelonious monk, coltrane, chet baker, ike quebec, etc. but i don't really know where to go from there desu
...
what chart is that
I can recommend you some ^w^
Pharoah Sanders - Thembi
lots of interesting instruments, really spiritual stuff. You'll definitely like it if you like folk and coltrane too
>pharaoh sanders
LOL saved
the residents - duck stab/buster & glen
i'm listening to the classics compilation on spotify right now, i'm really digging it so far!
nice!
Man I dunno I'm really bad at recommending based on these charts.
+ KC TMS, clipping, Richard Dawson, Eno, Love, Trout Mask, Ys, radiohead, exuma, kendrick
Check out Dalek - tongues of gods and griots
Recc me
rec me plz
although I question some of the stuff you put at the top even if I like it (e.g., AJJ and kendrick and death grips)
+ slint, AJJ, can, kendrick, death grips, radiohead, GYBE, swans, madvillain, NMH, Amon Duul II, lou, TVU, clipping, bjork, elliott, my bloody valentine, smiths (hatful AND queen?), banshee, talking heads, Cohen
- Kanye West
listen to the original Amon Duul - Paradieswarts Duul. IMO it's more soulful. Also try out Nico - Desertshore
got in a carcrash lastnight what the fuck is up
fuck you
still alive bitch
fuck you
>cars ever
did you died
...
A lot of the second and third tier could be switched and they're not listed in a particular order.
One album per band.
There are a lot of albums that either slightly missed the mark or I forgot entirely.
Thank you for the recommendations. I recommend Reality In Love by Toshifumi Hinata
This is pretty neat.
iAsia by James Ferraro. By far and away his best work, like nothing else. feels like what vaporwave would be if it had actual musical merit.
>>highly entry level classical
>chopin/beethoven
>implying you can say anything about my chart when you have vaporwave on yours
>vaporwave
>not SUPERIOR to cl(ass)ical
get a load of this capitalist
who are you quoting?
>Eingya
nice
Nana Grizol-Ruth
Nana Grizol-Ursa Minor
Michael Jordan Touchdown Pass-Cash Money Etc. .
Big Thief-Capacity
AJJ-The Bible 2
Slim K-Purple Children 6
The Midori album on my list is something you might like if you dont mind Japanese lyrics.
the guy
>entry level means it's not good
Spot the retard
chopin's 4 ballades are not very entry level, neither is Beethoven's Mass in C major. You're being reductionist my dude
Tripfags I swear...
not what i meant, he was being patronizing b/c of my entry level classical pics when his were no less entry level, just pointed that out
don't really see how Ma Vlast is more entry level than those tho
is there anything more fucking pseud than someone using 'entry level classical' unironically? yeah, entry level can sure be applied to western canon music
Ma Vlast is the most entry level piece in classical history. I can't think of a single piece more well known than that.
Whereas, the ballades are quite obscure, and so is this particular mass by Beethoven.
>Ma Vlast is the most entry level piece in classical history. I can't think of a single piece more well known than that.
is this bait
no
I guarantee far more people know that piece than people who know either of the pieces you are criticising
ok
but are u telling me that Ma Vlast is more well known than Beethoven's 5th
Probably not, I exaggerated
but my point stands
>its a tripfag ruins the thread again episode
it may
Saw MJTP at Plan-It-X Fest last year, great show and I've been meaning to check him out ever since. Might have to jump him to the front of the line.
I tend to prefer English lyrics, but this is a great album. I absolutely love how the piano is used.
Thanks, man, gotta put this shit in a short film :)
