The 90s ended

Format your Bandcamp because it gives a bad impression
Otherwise, I like the looping and noises mixed with ambient piano, just the right amount of repetition. Make something like this on your full length album, but more coherent and overwhelming. Focus on isolating the listener from his outside world.

Alright I finished and this EP is pure gold and ear candy. Really good job

you' re too kind. thank you for your honest feedback. you're very helpful. if it's not too much trouble would you care to give me some insights how would you format my bc page. i had a listen to your newest release way back and i really enjoyed it. mostly last track 'orlang' which sounds haunting. really like how you work with dynamics. once again thank you for listening

+ that yelp on csillagköd
+ those moments where overtones are prominent on desolatio add a lot of color, as does the sliding guitar, and i like that there’s a period of silence at the end
+ tailored to make a solid lp (title track would make a good side b)

- more dynamics would increase the power of these pieces, the abrupt endings on the second and third track don’t feel deserved
- having the space where these are performed being more apparent would help the atmosphere, i’d like to hear a live album in this style
- i don’t know if the rhythm in the back of the title track is necessary, more variety would help if it is, either that or another voice needs to take stage somewhere in that 18 minute space

Darker, yet soft colours that won't kill your eyes, a header and background picture that blends together, probably some cool painting. Be creative and try to catch a similar aesthetic as your album cover, but don't reuse the same picture.
Thanks for the review dude!
Csillagköd is actually an exceprt of a "live" performance recorded in a huge room, with several microphones in the corner.
I set up a fan with a contact mic (pic related) that ran through distortion pedals, into a guitar amp on full volume.
While doing that, I started vacuum cleaning a carpet and did random shit.
The rest is pretty DIY too, nothing was programmed in a DAW.
For Őrláng I restrung my guitar and tuned every string to D. You can also hear synths and delay pedals, and that's all. I added rhythm because I wanted more bass, and some ambient techno feel to it.

You, i like you.

...

thank you kindly. also really enjoyed your behind the scenes description. cool idea with the fan

That's how many HNW artists record and perform live actually. It's almost as good for noise source as a noise/crackles generator.

Drama or not. People, seriously, I mean I understand you want to get your music seen here and I truly understand that. Ego and all of that. But they way you are showing yourself, even to this small circles of people, is pretty shitty. How am I suppose, in a good conscience, share your music around to others if you have shitty attitude to people who give you their time. If you really have such a weak element in yourself that you can't handle yourself baits then will you be even prepared for the harsh, very subjective opinions in the future?
This is why I'm going to put the shill list on these threads. To warn everybody from people like you. From the scam who believe that everything you are doing is somehow a godsend and we should just give you all the applause you think you deserve. This list will be bigger and it will be even bigger. But if that's all it takes to purge threads from those who does nothing outside of posting their links, with no regard to others, so be it.

i will stop posting in this threads now

REC:

Hey, thank you for your listen and your time! Sorry I've missed you somewhere through the thread. Have to say, your music may not be great but the vocals are just top notch, I wish I had a singer like that near me. The quality of this thing is killing me though; you should really, really consider working in a studio on such kind of material. Also, and this is quite obvious but I'm putting it out there, consider working more and more on the style of your guitar play. As of now it's very... basic (although who am I to judge that?) and it could use a bit of a flavor.

It's going to be 16 minutes in length on the newest release so...
I hope I won't fuck this up though.

And some recommendations:

I sure am enjoy.
Furthermore, I'm love it.

THANK YOU VERY!
I hope you can look past the jarring shifts in mixing and tone

Big, heavy, monolithic music

the autism in this thread is in tents

thanks! not all of us used to play in metal bands, so you're right — there happen to be post-rock Swans, hah! it is pretty hard to recapture heavy sound of guitars without quality gear.

Oh, hey, I listened to your recommendations!
The Phobos singes were not my style of music but I listened to them regardless. Do you have translations for the lyrics? (Which reminds me I should pay more attention to translating my own German lyrics with no exceptions in the future.)
I remembered having listened to Modern kommunikáció in the past and I wish it was more abrasive and closer to musique concrète but probably because the cover art and title reminded me way too much of Esplendor Geométrico.
Holdhegy was nice but a bit too uneventful for my taste. Őrláng was better in that regard. Also that split with Windowlistener.

Thanks for listening!
I never aimed for that cold industrial sound in my noise, even if some releases sound a bit like industrial, it's never in the focus, so the fans of that type of music might get a bit disappointed.
I can't really give you proper translations because I suck at writing. The poems were written by my friend and I pretty much made the songs based on the writings and not the other way around.

Gub gets too many good comments.
And I'm jealous.
Therefore the conclusion is quite clear - I should avoid these threads at all costs :^(
Or maybe I suck hard, ey? Pick myself poison.

One day I might ask you to make a split release with me but at the moment I'm still in the middle of two other split releases and can barely keep up with all the things I want to make.
Also, openly expressed self-doubt is unsexy as fuck.

I am quintessential definition of unsexy
>self-doubt
>lack of any sort of positive thinking
>planning to make 4 LPs, 4 EPs and 4 singles related to my last relationship
>3/10 looks with 5/10 intelligence

I assume you're Gub? Add a goddnaming name

lol dude you're actually talented unlike me
People just don't always have the attention span, and they turn it down when they see the "ambient" and "bedroom music" tags
My secret: describe music in the most pretentious way possible
noise ---> eerie cacophony
ambient ---> reverb-soaked psychedelic soundscapes
drone ---> meditative etheral beauty

>noise ---> eerie cacophony
>ambient ---> reverb-soaked psychedelic soundscapes
>drone ---> meditative etheral beauty
Literal kek, congrats. I think if I would do something like that I would kind of lie to people.

Also
>but you are better than me
That's such a stupid measurement because it's thin af. Also, it doesn't help me when I see people which are better/worse than me in some area. It makes me even more sad tbqh.

In other news: how many of you heard the new Bones album?

lol I have like 3 other projects that I post in these threads occasionally besides Gub

I could not keep up with other music projects beside my main one. Even the deep internet was in-between some ML work. I want to make another Traumstaub album eventually that is neoclassical but it's just a simple side project.
I do have a secret and silly webcomic, though. I will not ever post it in connection with my name, of course.

>Vaporwave

First track was a bit too noisy, second track I liked. Third track was pretty good as well, 5th track is one of my favorites in this entire album so far, gives me some death grips vibes. 6th track was also good, but its extremely long. Instrumental sounds really good though. 7th track. 7th track is also another one of my favorites. Sounds really calm, and the vocals work very well on it. The final track was a good ending, but the last part with vocals sounded weird, like if I were listening to some dub of an anime. Overall, pretty good.

Today, on June 21st 2017, I have released a new EP entitled Man as a Prism, a 30-minute improvised drone piece created with no inputs. On top of the massive, monolithic drone that stretches, twists and bends are field recordings only adding to the oneiric feeling.

You just have to realize you might not see your art the same way as others do. It's all subjective, and an artist will nevet be truly satisfied with his own shit. It's kinda like getting used to your own voice when playing it back

The thing is Gub that I'm not an artist and I don't want to be seen as one. It's a title that I haven't achieved.

I often look at new releases on a daily basis and pick out the best unknown acts to listen to.
Would anyone be opposed to me coming into these threads and dropping loads of links at once?

>makes art

this is not determined by the quality of your art

Who said anything about the quality of it? I don't see myself as one because of the personal reasons. And by those reasons I've determined at what point would I even put this title upon myself. Simple as that.

Hell yeah, I might post some good shit too because there used to be lots of dope projects here who dont post anymore
Like the new Dear Laika album that was criminally underrated

Well that is stupid. You still make art.
What are you, trans non-artist?

>Well that is stupid.
Like there was something said by me that wasn't stupid, ey?
>What are you, trans non-artist?
Just a guy who tries to be an artist. Yet fails at it. Is that a good definition for a trans non-artist?

"An artist is a person engaged in an activity related to creating art, practicing the arts, or demonstrating an art."

By definition - yes. And I don't argue with the definition itself. I'm only saying how I see myself in this. 'Nuff said.

This is hilarious, but could you chill the fuck out?

After 6 months I release my second Album Hidden Horizons with instrumental solo made by me. All the material are original nothing are sampled also I added instrumental solo played by me. I'm very proud of this album check it out !!!!!

This is it. Pleasant, short, simple interaction for issues. Not shitposting spanning over the course of days, weeks, months, or years.

Actually, yeah. Not to be a dick or impose or insist that this is some sort of club, but it does fuck with the whole anti-linkdropping atmosphere we've been hoping for but avoiding for years. Tell the artists to come and sit in if you want, or take the time to critique with everyone else (who does it) and then it could be okay.
