That officer showed a lot of restraint. They don't want to shoot these people. Having to shoot a mentally ill person who WANTS to die is traumautizing for a non-autistic person.
Why don't we have suicide booths? Why don't we have legal assisted suicide? We can't treat thought problems by diagnosing them as "disorders", giving people an excuse to label themselves "uncurable", and taking dangerous drugs for the rest of their life. We can't treat mental illness with this country if people don't want to pay for wider access to mental health care. We might as well make it legal for them to get help killing themselves.
>Why don't we have legal assisted suicide? we do, they're called guns.
Lincoln Carter
>Having to shoot a mentally ill person who WANTS to die is traumautizing for a non-autistic person.
Bullshit.
Hudson Martinez
which part is bullshit?
Suicide by cop, nothing to see here.
Anthony Smith
was he wearing a wig?
Wyatt Reed
So one should go through all the steps to purchase a $500+ weapon just to kill themselves? I don't agree with this. They are running to police officers with knives in hopes that they get shit. They want others to do it for them, they don't have the willpower to do it themselves. That can be solved with assisted suicide.
>implying police officers are emotionless people who relish shooting people who want to die
Parker Russell
Drug overdoses aren't accidents, suicide by cops are just plan B for these professional fuck-up called liberals.
Anthony Mitchell
What country do you live in that the legal and medical fees required to clear yourself for suicide would be under 500 bucks?
Easton Murphy
Also watch that video closely. That cop gave that person a lot of time to drop the knife. The notion that it doesn't affect them is bullshit. If that person could've walked in somewhere, signed a paper, and gotten an injection, people wouldn't be put in shitty situations besides the person who wants to die.
Why not legalize booths? You could have all kinds of varieties. Death by guillotine, gas, nailgun, hell maybe a booth that offers you a gun to shoot yourself with. Maybe a gun range that shoots suicidal people.
They have every right to do this. Who are you protecting, exactly?
Jace Jones
I live in a country that would be capable of doing it better than any other country. Restricting it for those who are terminally ill is ridiculous. People can voluntarily take a knife and stab themselves. If they want others to do it for them, it should be no difference. If they consent, they consent.
Brayden Cruz
>what do we do, what do we do.
film it and post it on the internets.
Isaiah Morgan
>If they consent, they consent. Okay, and now go through whatever process would be required to guarantee that they consent and that they were capable of providing that consent so that the family isn't able to file suit.
Luke Rodriguez
>Footage shows them walking in >No illicit drugs present in their system >Signature and thumbprint and identification
What more do you want? This is a person controlling their own body and using it to request someone to assist them with suicide.
Mason Roberts
people are terrified of mortality and we live in a culture whose foundation is drowned in heroic romanticism. that every troubled life is just waiting to be saved from some quantifiable threat.
the way our society is fundamentally built is that you have a right to life. but you don't have a right to death. the thought that you would willingly seek death is seen as being akin to a mental illness.
the view is changing a little bit, but not much, and generally only for those with terminal cases nearing the end of their time.
Carson Garcia
That is filmed terribly. >Also damn that guy just keeps on coming
Ian Powell
remember, we still live in a society that legitimately thinks it's possible for a pill to cure depression.
rationality as it pertains to mortality is not something you should seek yet.
Angel James
Families willing to profit off of a family member's death are going to try to file suit no matter what protocols you put in place.
Austin Richardson
Are you just pretending to be retarded or are you really this ignorant about how things work in this country?
Kevin Ward
>We can't treat thought problems by diagnosing them as "disorders", You're fucking retarded. Assisted suicide should only be okay for physical conditions where the patient is in extreme pain or is a vegetable.
There ARE treatments for mental illness. If it's not inherent, then counseling is the best. If it is inherent, then they can see a psychiatrist. It's much better to get people out of depression and back into society so that they can get jobs or whatever than just letting them kill themselves.
Levi Reyes
because millions of people would kill themselves user, it would crash the economy.
Sebastian Perry
The part about a cop being "traumatized" for shooting an autist.
You should watch the video of a cop shooting an undercover in Albuquerque. The cop doing the shooting doesn't start to act "traumatized" or emotionally impacted until he realizes he shot a "good guy" and not a "bad guy".
Christopher Harris
>Doesn't want to label someone >Is ok with gender fluidity >California
How about we mass murder sjws?
Xavier Campbell
>liveleak.com/view?i=583_1450329188 >oh my god >oh my god >oh my god >oh my god >oh my god >what do we do >oh my god >do we leave? >oh my god >oh my god
Your women sound stupid as fuck.
Wyatt Jenkins
We are absolutely useless when it comes to helping someone gain the willpower to live again, to control their mind effectively, and to analyze their own thoughts. The Taoists and the Buddhists had it right. Philosophy might as well be more effective than psychiatry when it comes to some people.
There's a fundamental problem with our understanding of depression. If you think negative thoughts about yourself, have a negative self-image, and think negative thoughts about what others think about you and about all the flaws in your life, you will sink into a depression. You won't focus so much on the solutions as you are on the problems. A constant reminder of how shitty your life is does not help you at all. Your mind would create a habit out of it, and your body would hate you for it. Why must we tell people they're diseased and that they should treat it with a pill? This does not treat their weakness. There are plenty of depressed people who would snap out of it if a true traumatic experience occurred to them. We can accept that, but we can't accept that they are doing it to themselves? Not good.
>no argument
Well it's time for you to head out back to recess. This is a speculative thread about ideas that don't exist yet in this country, are you expecting me to give you suggestions for an indiscriminate assisted-suicide based on legal-assisted-suciide in other nations with different laws and which is only restricted for the terminally-ill? You're not going to have a good time with that.
A depressed guy who wants to die is still a person who wants to die. The mental illness does not give them less of a right to their own body. They should seek treatment, first, but they should have a legal means to commit suicide. A severe schizophrenic or someone who has dementia should be allowed to do this as well.
No, just that it's autistic to think an officer doesn't mind being in this situation. It's unfortunate.
Dominic Young
no shit, that was my point.
they'ld be wanting to make as airtight of a case as possible and require all manner of examinations and documentation at the suiciders expense... which would end up costing well more than a used shotgun.
Jayden Walker
Have you heard what nip bitches sound like when they are getting fucked?
Probably not, but i'll tell you that it's not pretty.
Liam Price
>tfw from Camarillo
Josiah Cruz
You can buy a .22 for like a hundred dollars, their the best round for suicide. You don't have to do anything but walk in hand the pawn shop the money.
Caleb Wright
The fuck goes on in your head, buddy?
>Cop shoots bad guy >doesn't care, doing duty >Oh, wait, it's a good guy >[upset]
Sounds like a human being to me!
>Is ok with gender fluidity
Speaking of suicide, give it a try. The fuck does this thread have to do about gender fluidity? Go keep to your own fucking thread faggot.
>autism
Why are you guys so autistic? This is a normal human response. She's freaking out, she just saw someone go after a cop with a knife and get shot to death. This isn't something she sees all the time. Also, seeing it in person is not the same as seeing a video on your laptop in your basement with your underwear showing.
So we should not allow them to do this. A person consents to killing themselves. Why must we ALLOW the creation of arguments against this? We must allow people to argue whether one has the right to consent to their own body or not?
Messy and undignified because America refuses to allow a man legally kill his own body.
Owen Allen
>no argument
There wasn't much need for an argument when you were presenting lighter paperwork than buying a car for offering yourself in a fantasy america where you don't have to protect yourself from law suits and guns cost over 500 bucks.
It's really hard to have a speculative thread if you don't even understand the starting point you're working from.
Nolan Mitchell
>autism accusation Not an argument.
>begging the question Also not an argument.
You got any arguments or are you just gonna keep being a solipsist?
Logan Carter
My wife is Japanese and she never does this kind of sounds like in Japanese pornos, also her friends dont do it to in bed. She thinks its probably something what Japanese men like to hear.
Kayden Lee
>They don't want to shoot these people. Having to shoot a mentally ill person who WANTS to die is traumautizing for a non-autistic person.
what i wouldn't give for someone to break into my house with a knife and for them to charge me so i can uncap their domepiece with buckshot
god damn i hope i hjope i hope
Christopher Allen
Watch the cop fall at the end. If the attacker had not been subdued already that cop might have been slashed to death. This is why they have to shoot knife wielding suspects. The sadest one was the highway situation posted recently. You could here in that cops voice as he pleaded with the man that he did not want to shoot him.
Ayden Cruz
Post link please
Zachary James
The reasonable conclusion after reading "Sounds like a human being to me!" is that I don't see anything unusual about his behavior. I can't argue much over:
>You should watch the video of a cop shooting an undercover in Albuquerque. The cop doing the shooting doesn't start to act "traumatized" or emotionally impacted until he realizes he shot a "good guy" and not a "bad guy".
You don't jump from telling someone to check out a video to demanding an argument when they respond just as casually and informal as you did. Remember, being this selective is a mental illness.
Do you want me to present some argument as to why an officer would be more concerned when he realizes he shot an innocent man than when he thought he shot a guilty man? Does that not sound tedious and unnecessary to you? Is my point not expressed clearly enough? Hello?
Jonathan Morgan
Can you post video? Also cops aren't executioners their job is to arrest and detain not kill. I watch videos of police in the UK or Europe where they subdue mentally ill individuals wielding knives without killing them.
Mason James
>She thinks its probably something what Japanese men like to hear.
Definitely. Also when did she leave Japan? If she left at a very young age or was never born there at all, then it's strange that you initially considered it to be some kind of a genetic thing. Moans aren't genetic. Geez, haven't you ever watched a deaf porno? You're missing out.
Joshua Gomez
The reason that every now and then "shocking" videos emerge from police lockerrooms and leisure facilities in which they openly use racial slurs and derogatory terms about the people they deal with on a daily basis, is exactly because of shit like this. It's a coping mechanism.
If me or my colleagues were faced with dumb idiots like these every single day, "nigger" is probably the least offensive thing I'd call them.
Camden Cox
>they
When it's more than one person, they can taze. One guy, he has to decide between a tazer and a gun. I guess he can't have one in each hand, and he had his gun out because he was close up when the initiation began.
Sometimes it's absolutely unjustified to kill, and sometimes police escalate situations rather than help the mentally ill person, but not in this case.
Camden King
Can't find it
Henry Clark
I know im a brit but why doesn't the cop just shoot at the legs, I know they would most likly bleed out but I dont understand why don't they try to be non-leathal
Isaac Cox
My brother is a cop. I would rather him shoot someone then struggle with a man with a knife any day. He started as a jailer. He and a partner got in a fight with a very large black man once. His partner is a little bitch but my brother is 200+ pounds and a good wrestler. They fought with the guy for five minutes before help showed up. During that time they never once had control, and had the man been armed he probably could have killed both of them. Escalation of force. You bring fists, I bring a baron pepper spray or tazer. You bring a knife and you are not getting within striking range.
Matthew Garcia
It looks like he shot the guy at least three times. He didn't panic shoot so he probably hit a majority of his shots. Still at the end of the video when he falls the perp is right on top of him. If that guy wasn't falling over dead he could have killed the cop. So leg shots would not have saved him. You shoot to kill not to wound.
Alexander Fisher
You know that video where there are twelve British police and one guy with a knife? This is to disarm him without shooting him.
Chase Jackson
>implying police officers are emotionless people who relish shooting people who want to die They are, ACAB4lyfe.
