not black as in central african black, but i would guess arabic.

the WE WUZ meme is usually used by negroes or stormfags that can't see anything good in their lineage, so they have to steal stuff from other cultures and pretend they're part of them.

as if genetics are able to save you from the worthless life you're living.

>Kotb was born inNorman,Oklahoma, and grew up inMorgantown,West Virginia and Alexandria,Virginia.Kotb's parents are from Egypt

Actually yes, he does.

>seen so many muslims he can't decipher what a black person looks like anymore

>As a consequence of the many invasions of ancient Egypt, the population has changed over the years. There were Hyksos (Heka Khasut) from Asia, who melted into the Delta Region around 1500 B.C.E., and then a series of invasions by the Assyrians, Persians and Greeks. With the arrival of large groups of Arabians in the seventh century C.E., the racial character of Egypt began to change.

>The resultant mixtures of Africans, Arabs, Greeks and Persians were to be jointed with Turks, Russians, Albanians, British, and French to create a different population that there had been during the ancient times.

>One cannot say that today's Egypt is the same as the Egypt of antiquity anymore than one can say that today's North America is the same as it was 5000 years ago.

to be fair it's annoying and pathetic when anyone does it, not just dindus.

this is a real honest to god american. does he look red?

native americans btfo we wuz the original americans n shiet

seriously though that's a terrible argument, arabic people could have replaced the "original" "black" egyptians over time, the last pharaoh died 2000 years ago, modern day egyptians being arabs doesn't prove egyptians 4000 years ago weren't black

i'm not saying the egyptians were black, they obviously weren't, but that's a terrible argument

The published genetic studies have shown that there is still very little change.

One of them found that either it was only 15% of the population that had significant foreign descent or that the average person had about 15% of their heritage from outside Egypt. I forget which one it was but in either case its not that significant and neither one would be enough to make modern Egyptians appear noticeably different from the ancient Egyptians.

>With the passage of time, each wave of new immigrants has assimilated into the local mix of peoples, making modern Egypt a combination of Libyans, Nubians, Syrians, Persians, Macedonians, Romans, Arabs, Turks, Circassians, Greeks, Italians, and Armenians, along with the descendants of the people of ancient Egypt.

- From A Brief History of Egypt by Jr. Goldschmidt (Inb4 the joos) Arthur (2007)

- Alexander the Great’s conquest of Egypt, in 332 BCE, precipitated a period of mass immigration.

Does it even matter if the Egyptians were black?

Most niggers who push the whole WE WUZ KANGZ shit are American. This would mean that the overwhelming majority of them are descendants of slaves brought over from West Africa, i.e. not Egypt. Even if they're right, at best they're taking credit for the accomplishments of another group of people they had nothing to do with. I wonder where they get that from...

You wasted my fucking time, asshole.

Someone writing something in a history book doesn't refute genetic studies at all.

Genetic studies are the only thing that have any authority at all on this subject and the vast majority of them have shown that Egypt's population have not changed much, regardless of whatever some academic who has no experience in genetics writes in a history book.

Just so you know, conquering of one people by another often does not significantly change the makeup of the local population and only does when the conquerors bring massive amounts of civilians from their homeland to move to and live there.
