Hope Sandoval and The Warm Inventions. It’s not a shoegaze band, but it’s definitely dream pop/dreamy. Their albums are fantastic. Here are a few songs:
“On The Low”

“Suzanne”

“I took a slip”

If you’re looking for a more shoegaze feel, check out this song by a band called Visiting Diplomats:

I especially enjoy songs that give me that nostalgia feel. Recommend me more.
One of the best Shoegaze albums ever made in my opinion

ye
2000's had some great albums, my favorite at the moment is the pains of being pure at heart
Hopsin is much better that this shoegays
recently i'm diggin this one
what are the albums near alcest and fauns?
Fuck off with your nignog shit
Fuck, that hipster fashion is beyond cringey. They're like emo bronies. I'll check it out.
Wow dude you're racist man
faunts - feel.love.thinking.of.
youtube.com
Yes. But I enjoy real rap from the 90's.
I'm a sucker for both electronic shoegaze and female vocals.
>dem harmonies
ty
do you know the orange one on the left?
Air formation - daylight storms
Is The KVB /shugazi/ approved?
Nice rec, thanks.
Needs an alternate cover ASAP.
scott cortez forever
are there any african american shoegaze artists?.I have only seen whites and asians in the genre
amazing
First time I read the phrase "african american" on Sup Forums.
And no, I don't know any that are shoegazers. Never noticed it before actually.
the veldt and Apollo Heights
Pretty sure they share members
Also curve had a black bassist, she was connected to the shoegaze scene, forgot her name though. also im pretty sure she wasn't american
I feel like if there were you most likely wouldn't notice since shoegaze is one of the genres least influenced by identity politics shit
vimeo.com
so naomi's a music video director now?
Also is anyone else seeing Dean Wareham perform Galaxie 500 songs? I'm seeing him in SF.
/shugazi/, I need your help. I've been trying to get into shoegaze, and honestly Souvlaki and Loveless did nothing for me, but Nowhere quickly turned into one of my favorite albums. Any idea of why? It seems that more often than not people rank Nowhere as the worst of the three.
cause you're probably into the drums and energy amd everyone else is mostly into the moodiness
I need some help with a new millennium /shugazi/ chart
Not sure if there's any glaring emissions but I'm open to replacement suggestions
Go listen to Whirlpool by Chapterhouse if you haven't already
They stick to the poppier, more traditional alt-rock sound that Ride's first two albums really revel in with bits and pieces left over from the Madchester movement years before
whoops
here's this
As far as glaring omissions go, mbv is notably absent.
odell nails was a drummer for astrobrite and majesty crush. also a.r kane who invented dream pop were black
I figure yo la tengo and carissa's wierd aren't really shoegaze-y enough to warrant being on here
Also if m b v's making the cut then the slowdive s/t definitely ought to be on there though
Also I'd rather keep this to 1 album an artist i think - should souvenirs d'un autre monde or ecailles de lune be the alcest pick
If Deathconsciousness can be on there I honestly think Texas Jerusalem Crossroads should be there too.
great album op haven't listened in a long time
also does anyone have recs if I liked Depths by Windy & Carl
I've seen them mentioned on here before, and I downloaded an album of theirs after, due to that, so yeah, why not.
someone needs to do pic related with that album cover
this is actually really good
Can anyone name A2, B1, and B2 for me?
Carissa's Wierd -Songs About Leaving
Jesu - Jesu
Astrobrite - Pinkshinyultrablast
Nice trips, thank you.
The main guy from Heretoir looks like Waka Flocka Flame
i think you mean
What's your favorite album from these niggas?
>Saturdays=Youth came out 9 years ago
Fuck
holy shit are 999 the official trips of /shugazi/?
>Junk came out at all
Double fuck
w2c no9 sweater
Looks like Umbro, a soccer brand
I can haz more dreamy shit plz?
Check out this post
So good
This album cover is so much fucking better than their other album covers. The other ones look like some juvenile fantasy bullshit whereas this one intruiged me enough to listen in the first place.
Anyone go the 2017 so far chart?
bump
On the contrary, I think I fist listened to Écailles de lune because I thought the cover seemed like juvenile fantasy bullshit and I loved it because it totally fit
Different strokes for different folks I guess...
Im a bullshit hipster though so you can see why the cover of souvenirs d'un autre monde would be more appealing.
Were that the case you'd also be in love with the Shelter cover
I dont see that cover posted nearly as much desu
>real rap
>implying there is acceptable rap from any decade
Not familiar with some in the top two rows
They didn't invent the genre, they just coined the expression.
it's a cheap knock off of low.
misery is a butterfly is better 23 is still cool though
not entirely but theres people who praise the scene in general for having a good gender balance compared to more traditional rock which is like 90% or more dudes.
This is the one I've seen posted.
Thanks! This is what I was looking for.
can any of my bros post a link for Ride - Weather Diaries? I haven't listened to it yet. Thanks!
I don't know how old it is. It's missing; Ride, Secret Shine, Weed, Panda Riot, and The Homesick. I'm not caught up on listening to everything new, so I'm not sure all of those deserve a spot on the chart, but we may be due for a revision.
Rare Shoegaze/Dream Pop from Russia

TIGHT
What is that Sunny Day In Glasgow album like?
Fuck yeah I adore Future Perfect. Capital Kind of Strain is one of the songs of the decade imo
youtube.com
Wish I had seen that reissue last year, would have been all over it and now it's on Discogs for like a hundred bucks.
Are their other albums worth checking out? I've heard they're more electronic-influenced, which is cool, but I've also heard they're not that great.
it was the archive, here you go
mega.nz
It's a lot more ambient and ethereal than their later work. think lovesliescrushing or even some cocteau twins.
Transit Transit doesn't have the same energy, a bit more downtempo. "Supertoys" and "Audience No. 2" are probably the best tracks. Pussy's Dead is more electronic, but I'd say is one you should check out.
Im digging panda riot actually, definitely deserves a place.
It's frustrating how short a lot of the tracks are. The title track is awesome sounding but I want it to keep going.
Better to end too soon and leave you wanting more than to drag on forever.
Visiting Diplomats is great, thanks.
A little late but this song is fantastic. I'll definitely have to listen to the whole thing thanks user
Autolux is tight nigga
Very very underrated
Wtf, I guess I like noise now.
you should always have 2bh
>it was the archive
How do I into archive?
ARCHIVE
>"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive"
- Go here: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>archive.rebeccablacktech.com
- When searching, limit your search to links only, like so: "desired album mega|zippyshare|mediafire"
- Make sure you've typed "zippyshare" and not "zippy", or else Zippyshare links will not be found.
could you help a nigger out and toss a dl link?
Thanks anons.
Any idea if I can upload to Mega from an ftp server?
:(
Bump
it's up on soulseek
Are there images like this from other years?? 2016, 2015, etc.. ?
I came across this the other day, pretty cool. Atmospheric blackgaze
Closest I've got. Someone said there isn't one for 2016.
