Pure kino or creepy sexualisation of a 12 year old?

I just watched this and I have to say it left me in a very weird mood. I enjoyed it, but I felt like it didn't really know what it wanted to be at times, and it could have been better with tighter editing.

One of the few times where the American remake is unequivocally better.

Why?

Better cast, production values, music score and tighter storyline.

kys

...

Swedish kino

Ps. dont read the book ds

why thought ?

>its a "the american remake is better than the swedish original" episode

why are the swedes so shitty at making kino?

I like Fincher's version, but was triggered by the removal of all cultural context except for some funny "Swedish" accents. They should have just had it set in the US.

...

The book is the fucking best.

Book>Original Movie>Shitty American Remake

I loved the lighting for this movie but gotta ask, so does the kid realize he's a faggot for liking some guy that looks like A girl?
>b-but he doesn't have a penis anymore!!!! So it's not gay
The kid probably browses trap threads

Bingo. Only pretentious faggots disagree.

He actually wonders this in the book

There is nothing gay about liking feminine penis. Now leave us with our dicknity.

I loved that one part in the movie where they were laying together
>So.. you want to go steady?
>You know i'm a boy, right?
>Okay.... so.. you want to go steady?
It felt like such a pure kind of love, like Oscar didn't really give a fuck

those wolf-like eyes dayum

So is this the only good movie about vampires?

Only Lovers Left Alive is pretty good.

'Things we do in the shadows' is pretty fucking great
Its like a mockumentary kinda thing following these vampires at home in their daily lives

>that Nosferatu
Okay, color me interested.

>or creepy sexualisation of a 12 year old
pretty sure that the scene where he peeks on her and she has no genitals was put in the kill the viewers de of any sexual motivation between either of them.
The film is actually a love story in essence but not a sexual kind of love.

I haven't watched the american version, so I don't know if that scene is in there but I would assume as well as destroying the feel of the original they over sexualized that girl...because it's american.

>pretty sure that the scene where he peeks on her and she has no genitals was put in the kill the viewers de of any sexual motivation between either of them.
Shows what they know.

Nice extra-chromosomal opinion, friend.

This movie's terrific. Absolutely love it.
