best XI of the last ten years that would actually work?
Best XI of the last ten years that would actually work?
>Cole
Vidic for Terry
I'd put Ibra over Suarez, Buffon over Cech and Marcelo over Cole.
this, Ramos would need a CB pairing that is not as stupid as him, which could make up for his mistakes in positioning, and terry is perfect for that.
And was on highest level for 10 years unlike Vidic.
>last tean years
>Vidic
>Cole
>I'd put Ibra over Suarez
It says best XI of the last ten years. For how many years has Suarez been a top striker? And how about Ibra?
Also
>that flag
>this topic
marcelo are you joking? Cole can actually defend
>ronaldo
are the people questioning Cole the kind of people who think defending is easy and all you need to be good as a full back is over lapping runs?
Makelele > Busquets
Name a better left winger
>making two posts to defend your homerism
yawn
suarez has been successful since 2007, and his peak is much higher than zlatan's
2007 onwards makelele? do you honestly think this?
>cole
Tierney should be left back. He's the best in the World at the moment.
shalalalalalala
Neuer > Cech
Thiago Silva/Godín/Bonucci/Barzagli/Piqué >>> Vidic
Marcelo/Filipe Luís >>> Cole
yw
>that would actually work
That would mean goals from multiple sources as well as good defending from the midfielders, so take out Vidic and Xavi and replace them with Terry and Lampard.
from sweden, i prefer larsson
>last 10 years
he was in with fergie in 07 helping them win a title
>Cech
GK: Neuer/Buffon/Casillas/Cech

CB: Godin/Vidic/Thiago Silva/Puyol/Chiellini/Pique

DM: Busquets/Yaya Toure/Schweinsteiger/Mascherano
CM: Xavi/Iniesta/Xabi Alonso/Pirlo/Lampard/Gerrard
LW: Ronaldo

Hard to pick just one sometimes
Jordi Alba

Buffon
Lahm Alderweireld Godin Azpilicueta
Vidal Lampard
Messi Suarez Cristiano
van Nistelrooy
Personal favourites
>that meme midfield
Barcelona as a whole worked because of their style of football... if you put that midfield playing with those fullbacks and forwards it'd never work out the way it did for peak Barça.
Also, both Ramos and Vidic are meme defenders, to this day I still think Terry-Carvalho was one of the best defensive partnerships ever.
Fuck, I'd go super heavy on mid 2000s Chelsea to be honest, Makelele-Essien-Lampard on the midfield and Drogba instead of that shitter Suarez.
Imagine this shit. Who could beat them?
are the people defending cole deluded british chelshitters
most American thing I've read in this thread, well, after Ashley was consistently great for over a decade and was worldclass in every single attribute that full-backs require.
Mou stop posting and go prepare for the Liverpool match
just some banter guy
im an arsenal man myself you see
Ashley Cole was an incredible left back. No club bias m8
There's nobody in the last ten years that could match him
>last 10 years
>I actually started thinking 2000 and onward when it was actually 2007 and onward
wew
> milito
> samuel
> that formation
kys
do Argentinians not rate Milito?
3-5-2 is objectivelly the best formation
He must be a Independiente fan
Ashley Cole is the only world class English player in the last 10 years. Apart from early Rooney and Lampard.
t.unbiased Irishman
Gerrard > Lampard and Rooney
op here, would accept these changes
you however are a retard
tbf would win treble year after year
>Ibra over Suarez
Kys
>No godin
British in charge of being intelligent..
>ronaldo
>teamwork
nope
Ashley Cole was the best left back in the world for a good 4-5 years, and I despise that piece of human garbage. He was fast, and could attack and defend equally well. He made a lot of top wingers look like amateur frauds
piece of human garbage aside, cheryl is hot as fuck tho senpai
>best XI of the last ten years that would actually work
>places TSU and Missing on the same team
it would be fun watching they waste tons of opportunities every game because they're too greedy to pass the ball to each other though
>arsenal man
>but puts no actual gooners in his list
what a time to be alive
...
>best working XI of the last ten years
>Vidic is mentioned and discussed as one of the cb's

Walcott
these 2 best 2
although, I would swap out Cole for Zanetti, but what do I know, I'm just a fat burger.

Plays on the right
De Gea

Lindelof
Bailly
Fosu-Mensah

Also I love Xavi but he's way overrated on this board
Villa
Iniesta Xavi Messi
Busquets X. Alonso
F. Luis Godín Pepe Lahm
Buffon
Change Pepe for Puyol, forgot about him
>marcelo over cole
you need wide players like duff in a formation like that not two cut-insiders
how the fuck would this work? who would be the wide players and who'd be the target man?
what even is gerrard's role there?
>busquets and xabi alonso in the same team
last time that was a thing you lost to switzerland in 2010
>villa
t.asturiano paleto
the only way you can compensate for having two inverted wingers is to have the full backs come up into the attack like Pellegrini's Villarreal
sure, then find replacements for both maicon and cole
those two are fine
Maicon did a similar role for Mou while in Inter he would push up while Zanetti stayed back as the left back and Cambiasso would cover the gap left at the right side in their 4-3-1-2 Zanetti would sometimes play in the midfield with Chivu as the left back
if this is Cole in his prime then he should do fine but funny how they both played in Roma in their latter years
me personally I would go with Juanfran and Filipe Luis those two guys are the best and they functioned in a similar system when Cholo had both Turan and Koke as their wide players in a 4-4-2 but really those two would tuck in and form a 4-2-2-2 just like Villarreal under Pellegrini
>Juanfran
Carvajal is the best right back in the world
