The Dark Side of the Moon

That one track on F#A#sideways8 I'm pretty sure. Revival Swans use it a lot. The pedal steel is the most underrated instrument.

Just came out this year and its DAMN good

Every latter day Swans album uses them prominently

a lot of psychedelic garage from the 60's did I'm pretty sure, 13th Floor Elevators, Red Krayola, that sort of thing

In a very singular way too. I haven't heard anyone use them like that.

Check out Red Sparowes' "Every Red Heart Shines Toward the Red Sun" if you're into post-rock. Heavy use of steels and features members of Isis and Emma Ruth Rundle

Pink Floyd, Dark Side of The Moon!

Those are fighting words where I come from

Queens of the stone age use them quite a lot

That weird German dude from Swans who translates literature as his day job plays steel guitar

Came here to suggest this. Justin Vernon is a fucking golden god
