I'm looking for some instrumental-only rock. I know, I know...

I'm looking for some instrumental-only rock. I know, I know, "listen to post-rock" but the thing is most of the post-rock I've heard has been really slow and atmospheric. I'm not writing the entire genre off but the stuff I've heard has been like that. What I'm looking for is something loud and distorted, something with a lot of energy and maybe a little aggression

Any suggestions?

Acid mother's temple, check Zen Universe and Electric Heavyland

Check out Boris at last: Feedbacker
Also check out Flood by them.

thanks man, will check out

Do you know the Allman Brothers Band? They have some amazing bluesy, jazzy, country-tinged rock instrumentals.

Here's a couple you should check out:

>In Memory of Elisabeth Reed (the version from "At Fillmore East")
>Hot'Lanta
>Les Brers in A minor
>Jessica
>Little Martha

Is Post-Black Metal too heavy for you?

Bongripper

I don't know, I've never listened to any of it

recommend me an album my dude

ramleh motherfucker

...

Most Post-Black has vocals technically, but I tend to think of it more as a timbre in the overall sound more so than anything else, especially since you can't understand the lyrics and it's intentional for the effect.

If that isn't really your style, I'd try this. It's post-rock/post-metal that is a bit on the faster side.
