I'm looking for some instrumental-only rock. I know, I know, "listen to post-rock" but the thing is most of the post-rock I've heard has been really slow and atmospheric. I'm not writing the entire genre off but the stuff I've heard has been like that. What I'm looking for is something loud and distorted, something with a lot of energy and maybe a little aggression
you know hella? 1st and last album especially. Giraffes? Giraffes!

Jaxson Johnson
Both were a little too math-rock plinky plonky for me, but thanks for trying

Most Post-Black has vocals technically, but I tend to think of it more as a timbre in the overall sound more so than anything else, especially since you can't understand the lyrics and it's intentional for the effect. youtube.com/watch?v=GfbLWHT7vUU
If that isn't really your style, I'd try this. It's post-rock/post-metal that is a bit on the faster side. youtube.com/watch?v=7Z2USju3kFc
