That's honestly all you need.

My favorite. It's got an Eastern vibe to it.
Also this
I like GYBE F# A# infinity a bit more than skinny fists.
Would second Do make say think and Grails, both are a quite unique
Unwound - Leaves turn inside you
Talk talk - Laughing Stock
Swans - The Seer
Hex - Bark Psycosis
The For Carnation - Self Titled
Not entry level stuff at all, but I prefer post rock bands that can actually make interesting sounds, instead of the usual Explosions in the Sky clones
not as dark as other post rock band but is top comfy
Personal favorites:
Slint - Spiderland
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock
Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die
Mogwai - Mogwai Young Team
Thanks for posting this. Checking it out now and it's really good so far.
Every single post rock song sounds exactly the same

>Slint - Goodmorning Captain
>GY!BE - Storm

Suck my sweaty balls pham
Math rock can be post-rock, it's not like uncommon signatures can only be characteristic exclusively to math rock.

More ambient stuff is surprisingly rare
...
This is the most under-appreciated post rock album on this board.
i was about to post this one
It's more post-metal, but you should still listen to it.
I swear to God, you people will pay if you continue to disrespect these guys by comparing them to Talk Talk anymore.
>under-appreciated
How long have you been here?
Are you literally stupid?
This album is incredible similar to Talk Talk, specifically the percussion is so allusive to Talk Talk's final 2 albums. This would also have a lot to do with the fact that Lee Harris (drummer for Talk Talk) helped them record and write the fucking album.
The guitar tones are also basically the exact same thing as Talk Talk's. The vocals are done extremely similar to Mark Hollis's unconventional shaky voice that strongly showcases an accent and recorded at just a whisper.
Yes! Longer Repose is the greatest song of the decade. This has probably become my favorite "math-y" album of all time. Every time I listen to the 20 minute closer I fall the fuck apart.
What are some albums with a lot of drone but still remaining post rock like Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress?
Try this and other Labradford albums.
