SNY analyst and former Mets pitcher Ron Darling expects big things from the Mets pitching staff in 2017.

"I really expect a magical year out of those guys," Darling told Daily News reporter John Harper. "We haven't seen the full effect of five studs going out there every fifth day and doing their thing. I really think they're going to give you a show like you haven't seen in quite some time. I would be completely shocked if they didn't."

In the 1980s, Darling had a procedure similar to the one Jacob deGrom had this past September, which moved a nerve in his below that was causing pain. Darling had his done in November and said he was ready to start his next season on time.

Darling told Harper he saw parallels between last year's Mets and his 1986 staff, who had career highs in innings during that World Series title season and then struggled in 1987 with higher ERAs and injuries. However, in 1988, Darling and company won 100 games before being upset in the NLCS by the eventual world champion Dodgers.

"You're talking about guys whose stuff is among the very best in all of baseball," Darling told Harper. "I think you could see historical numbers."

Babe Ruth only gave up 10 home runs as a pitcher.

>tfw no old/fat

he still has some pitching records I believe

I think only mad bum and maybe one other dude have a better world series ERA, in any case he's top 5

just GOAT things

dead ball era

>metrics i deem fair

steroid era

Clayton Kershaw.....
Oh you said World Series ERA

my sides, look at this guy

>CHC:Orioles could have interest in Jason Hammel

wew lad, we're really going for the kill shot this year

tbf kershaw's WS ERA is an impressive 0.00

>113 results found
wew

So is mine. What's your point?

we're pretty elite senpai, gon get dat wbc for da nada

Hahahahaha.
>implying

>tfw I have same era as kershaw
Am I, what you would call, elite?

What can I say? I'm motivated.

It's not Kershaw's fault that the Dodgers choke in the playoffs every year.
Oh wait. Yeah it is. Nevermind.

This is the greatest thing ever.

>go to jays shop to get a Steve Pearce jersey
>they haven't even assigned him a number yet

everything is wrong with this crooked ass kike organization

Only 113? I would have thought they would have been more. I better step up my game.

There are other great stories of players being high or drunk while playing
Buehrle was drunk when he was asked to pitch in relief in the world series

Nice OP

Trade Q and drob already reeeeeee

David Well allegedly pitched his perfect game hungover

Edinson Volquez pitched in the world series while Edinson Volquez

he wasn't drunk retard, probably had 1 or 2 drinks

That is impressive.

>implying David Wells isn't a drunk retard.

I'll take 'em both

You'll take drob for severino

Come on out stros or bucs, you know you want this Q

youtube.com/watch?v=U8dzMJhQ5mA

I'm cool with that.

Last digit confirms how many WS the Dodgers win in the next 10 years.

>the aging blister known as Rich Hill will be a valuable player next year

>still have the rotation to contend
>make it the end of an era instead

...

thats a line up full of mashers

Dynasty confirmed

...

I think you have dynasty confused with dysentery.

fixed

this was only funny in your head

>synderglass
good talent. Thrower, not a pitcher, struggles when his fb dips below 95mph. Will be and currently being ruined by Dan warthen.
>DeGrom
true pitcher, needs to get a sane pitching coach not named Dan Warthen to prolong his career.
>matz
Trash. Fucked up knees, elbow and shoulder. Garbage.
>wheeeler
Double Tommy John. Career likely over. I say this unironically, dude has been out 25 months and no signs of health. Expect him to go on the 60 day.
>Harvey
A tragedy. Legit top 5 pitcher. Ruined by Dan warthen and Terry Collins. Huge ego with even bigger talent and that says something. Career will continue but no where near that 2.3-2.7 era ever again. Truly sad. Nobody deserved this.

Better rotations..... LA, CHI, SF, STL, WAS, ARZ (yes, cap this and apologize to Greinke and Shelby.).

Tldr : mets are shit.

True
Still should not be a blueprint for yuckees

yankees fans are toronto tier delusional

Dodgers will sign Machado and move Corey to 3B and Manny to his natural SS position. They'll sign Donaldson and have him @ 3B. And judge probably won't even be a Yankee by 2017. Harper will be playing RF not LF.

Pitchers and catchers report in 34 days, 7 hours and 34 minutes

good for them

What's the #12's BA?

HEY

>They couldn't get Donaldson, Martin or Tulo

Jesus christ

who cares steve pearce is there let's fucking go

look they got devon white, lloyd moseby and scott fucking downs man shit is lit

So how many of you guys go to your teams conventions?

How do you feel about their pricing? I can't believe the team has been in a 4th straight losing season, traded away fan favorites like the one pictured in thier advertising for the event, is about to enter a rebuilding phase, and has recently changed the stadiums name to Gauranteed Rate Field and the logo to a down arrow AND they still have the gall to charge 100+ bucks for tickets to this shit.

Like what the fuck?

>Event Details: Blue Jays players to attend Oilers game and cheer on the home team!

#notmyteam I'm an #aboriginalmissile now

Edmonton is playing Calgary that game too

should never have to subject our players to the tar-soaked wasteland of alberta in the first fucking place, let alone have them cheer for the oilers

I bet gini's gonna take a fat ogre shit at rogers place and not flush, that man is so based

whats the point of going to these things? autographs?

Hi

t-the colors suit him

Would you say this bird is smug or just jovial?

It does. Too bad no one's going to ever see him in it.

Sad but true

That makes no sense

honestly it's kind of dumb not to expect an attendance spike now

though if they continue this shit they should just fucking relocate and nuke cleveland

Don't feed the autism

Cleveland Indians went to the World Series and nobody in Cleveland knew about it

>implying people don't have work
>implying they are a west cuck team so they have bums walk in
Not many people have the same money that most west coasters do, I expect people to come now that the dolanz cheep is over

[dumb meaningless statement]

Nice try Cubs false flagger WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY

this is bait/falseflagging right

Another thread about this shit?

>another thread abiut [one of a large variety of topics I don't like]?

Tickets last year were as cheap as $15 a ticket.

No. He has had three ironclad reasons why the Cleveland Indians were ranked 28th in attendance in a World Series year.
1) Weather is bad near the stadium.
2) Construction is bad near the stadium.
3) People in Cleveland work for a living.

Ironclad. 28th. Can't make up.

Stop drinking

It's crazy how people don't take these factors in

I don't drink I just do meth

>3) People in Cleveland work for a living.
That's a terrible argument

It's not
Most of us here in Cleveland are blue collar 30 an hour factory workers
The hardest
Part is we actually have to pay for things

i r o n c l a d

How about
>15% of the population lives under the poverty level

That leaves 85% of the population able to afford a $15 ticket and choosing not to.

>it's a lifelong cusb fan shitposts to himself episode

Not as bad as California
But somehow even though I never see it the angels manage to sell out every game
It's almost like they are buying out the unsold seats

Inner city "poverty level"s don't watch baseball anyway
Swing and a miss

Most tickets aren't $15 you dimwit especially since they are all taken
After the $15 tickets there are only 40 and higher
You should fucking know this

>can't afford to go to babsel games
>can afford to watch the shittiest team in cuckegg history all season long

fuck outta here nigger

According to Forbes the average Cleveland Indians ticket in 2016 was $24

Not that many years ago you could walk up to the box office and buy field level seats to Royals games for $5
Nobody went then, not because the weather was bad or that people work for a living but because nobody wanted to watch a shit team get blown out
It was a cheap way to spend a day though

Thanks for reading my blog

Thank you for showing me this

>Can't afford $40 for a baseball tickets
>Can afford $80 to see the Cavs

Yeah, naw.

>But somehow even though I never see it the angels manage to sell out every game
And the Tardinals, Stankees, Doyers, and most other parks.
>It's almost like they are buying out the unsold seats
Couldn't be user, just couldn't be

Average you idiot
Don't you understand those tickets get sold and which is only about 12-14k of the tickets in total
