If everything you have can be laid out in the floor you have a pretty shit collection. Pathetic...

> collecting for year and a half
> around 150 records so far

what is that record on the top left?

that doesn't mean it's pathetic, it means it's only just developing. getting a good record collection takes time and a lot of money. too much elitism in the vinyl world. unless someone is buying urban outfitters-tier reissues for a worthless turntable, there's no reason to hate.

that being said, yeah, my collection is too big to put all in one picture

pic too lo-res to make out the records, smart move

>the little one
Violent minds - Riot E.P.
>big one
Coldsweat - Blinded

Thank you.
Fuck you guy
Nice collection

Was being lazy.
I'll load some zooms in a bit.

cool

Some of the records I got when my granddad recently died. Sad, but I got some good music out of it. There's a quite a few more, if anyone is interested in seeing it

Today's purchases, probably won't be getting any more for a while

Here's my only record.

These are great, you gotta get the newest King Gizz

The guy at the store was trying to get me to get it, but he had a bunch of copies. I'll definitely get it in time, I just wanted I'm In Your Mind Fuzz before someone else got it.

Neato stuff.

nice pickups. would hang out with over an afternoon and listen to them with you/10

This is a neat find. Nice work

...

Nashville Skyline is great, that was one of my first records. Sorry to hear about your grandfather passing. When mine does pass I am set to inherit ~10,000 albums and some guitars. He got me into record collecting and I love him every day for it.

We'd love to see more.

That Whipped Cream & other Delights album is 10/10 btw

I got
>BB King
>Wes Montogmery and his brothers
>Wes Montogomery and Wynton Kelley
>The Band
>Sandy Nelson

My gf got
>Mister Rogers
>Shostakovich

She's more patrician than me

This picture is outdated as fuck.

Surprising amount of Star Wars

My all-time favorite movie trilogy, probably because nostalgia.

nice record """collection """ plebs

Is that all 99 cent bargain bin shit?

It's a vinyl thread we can post our new cops

But here's my collection friend

no i do buy a lot of used though

>gimme a ounce of that shit
>half that shit with madlib, we can bounce to that shit

the band is great. truly underrated group these days

recent purchases

I recognize none of these what are these

Vinyl records. I mean, it's an old format, but damn. You don't even recognize it? I feel old.

ditto, don't recognize these. Could you post the titles so I can listen?

from top left to bottom right
>brainiac - smack bunny baby
>lightning bolt - oblivion hunter
>the ilys - bodyguard
>aqsak maboul - un peu de l'Âme des bandits
>mars volta - noctourniquet
>institute - subordination
mostly noise rock, prog and post-punk

pls use outer sleeves

Love that mars volta artwork

nice flying saucer attack

Festival Pickups - I Just Lost My Job Why Am I Spending Money On This Edition

sled island usually has some incredible posters, any other good ones this year?

My current collection, just passed 200 records.

If anyone cares heres a paste bin of what I got. Some of it is my gf's shit and weird shit my grandfather gives me.

...

>Basement Tapes
how much did that set run you?

There were some pretty nice ones, I always pick up at least one each year. The problem is always that most of them are for acts I don't care about so I'm usually stuck striking a compromise. Low's poster was one of my favs and they were the act I was most looking forward to this year though.

Also holy fuck, Ex Eye were fucking awesome live

My mom bought that for me for Christmas. She left the price tag on by accident, it was about 80$.

There is a lot of pretty ass artwork there. Goddamn.

Most recent purchases.

>Metal and then chill vibes
You smoke and listen right?

>Tycho
>Deafheaven
>Baroness
vomit
>picture disc
double vomit

Surprisingly no.

Also, the the manta ray one is a boxset.

>manta ray
Literally who is this boxset

Protest the Hero.

$85 ain't to bad for all that wax. Any song reccs?

Dang. Been meaning to get a copy of Language. Luckily theirs all too many people reselling them. Is it bad. There's tons available for a limited press.

>Baroness
>vomit
Why?!?

shit-tier sludge, that's why

What is the bottom middle one?

Thee Oh Sees - A Weird Exists

>it's prog metal
at least it looks good

Honestly, this version of the album is more for show. You'd prefer the single disc version probably. Each of these discs has one song on it (and it's instrumental version on the b sides).

Language is my AOTY 2014. The reason for the tons you see is because they have done different limited presses. Two different variants per year. If anything, people are probably selling the 2014 versions because the 2015 and 2016 versions have bonus tracks. I got mine in 2016 and it looks like a fossil.

Some recent purchases, except for Houdini. I'm just really happy to own Houdini and want to show it off.

...

Favorite haul in a while. I love this Grace Jones record and The Wild, the Innocent is my new favorite Springsteen album

Do you just not like sludge metal or just not like them?

...

stacking them is a great way to wrap the record

>too much elitism in the vinyl world.
Ironic, since that's what leads most people to vinyl collecting, despite it being entirely unnecessary and incredibly misguided.

Sure

They're stored vertically. The picture is turned 90 degrees to make it easier to read. You can see the floor on the right side of the picture.

This is the only record I have at my house right now.

Haven't been able to get much for quite a while since poor college student, not pictured is Lift to Experience and the new Slowdive.

Nice /shugazi/. What press is the MBV?

Still kicking myself for missing Fishmans

VERY nice bois

>tfw decided at last second to not put Hunky Dory and RiL below Fishmans
Same question I asked the other user though, what pressing of MBV and is it good.
Always worried about unofficial pressings.

i don't know how to tell what pressing it is, but it looks like this, which i think is pretty cool. I think it sounds good but then again I'm not an expert and would not know what to compare it with
I'm

Super small collection but im working on it

Yep, definitely bootleg
A Kevin Shields-official all-analog reissue it's on the way but it's taking too fucking long

That's why I've been waiting all this time.
Hurts but the represses of the classics are good (notably Souvlaki) and if Kevin is at the reigns I can't see it being anything less than great.

r8 my taste
pastebin.com/0uqXGHei

why? the worst things that can happen just from letting them sit on your shelf is maybe some deterioration in terms of color, or just them getting dusty. Any other sort of damage would happen when you wouldn't even have the outer sleeve.

New Growlers isn't that great imo. First few songs are nice but not worth the purchase

my only vinyl
got it for £3 ($2)

someone likes devo

Its kind of a guilty pleasure for me at this point. I know it is their weakest record, but I can't get some of the songs out of my head.

same, I had no idea it was being sold again. will it ever come back though?

And that is definitely a great start. I've never owned a copy of that on wax. Very nice.

nice stanton you absolute fag lol

Layed my King Gizzard albums out to appreciate the colors.
