I like stuff in the Trip Hop - Funk - Jazz spectrum if you guys have any suggestions in that realm. Especially Trip Hop I find it's hard to find stuff beyond the obvious (portishead, massive attack, sneaker pimps, thievery corporation, tricky, etc etc), not sure if there are bands still making it or if the new stuff goes under a different name or something. Otherwise, jazzy/funky beats and good (sub) bass are ideal.

AS in Electrical Engineering. Just find the best accredited community college in your state and you should be able to get it pretty cheap, like $10k for 2 years, end up making in the 40-60k range with just that. Gotta be able to handle Calc I through Differential Equations (basically Calc IV), calc-based physics (make sure the CC has calc-based classes it's important), calc-based chemistry, I was also taught shit like Auto CADD, C++, and various engineering courses like thermodynamics, statics, strength of materials, etc. It's generally a good bet if they have articulation agreements with other colleges like state uni's and shit like that, basically means those colleges are giving them the thumbs up and give you special privileges like auto acceptance and less tuition depending on your grades in community college if you want to transfer to a 4-year after.
You just need a 2-year degree to be a tech though, 4 year or more would be if you wanted to become an engineer. If you want to get in from the bottom level you can be a test operator with just a high school diploma.
