The New England Patriots are now favored by 17 points against the Houston Texas.

The largest point gap in 20 years.

Do the Texans cover? They haven't covered that point spread in the last 4 meetings with New England.

>using patriotic colours and designs on your team
>the team doesn't play against foreign teams
>they play the anthem before all domestic games
amerifats are weird people

NFL is a big advertising machine and it also advertises the army

>using patriotic colours and designs on your team
Racing, m8.

Whenever a spread is that big the favourite always covers

New England and Texas are the most american regions in the country

Their only hope in keeping it out of the realms of laughing stock tier is to get pressure on Tom with three to four pass rushers & drop the rest in coverage. Easier said than done due to the Pats OL being healthy & being coached up by Scarn.

Texas is like 75% Mexican

>Do the Texans cover?
No.

See also the current /nfl/ thread.

disrespectful

Tom is playing out of his mind and the whole team is pretty much healthy after the week off, it's going to be as laughter

Why is it so weird to have pride in your country these days?

>not respecting a team that can't get its shit together

Dude I lived in Houston for 20+ years. I was born there. Houston NFL owners are historically fucktarded.

>when they actually play in a foreign country they play that country's anthem instead of their own

And Blount runs over the DBs for 140 yards.

yeah hes an ass

How comon is the last name Godoy in Argentina?

LMAO WHEN WAS THE LAST TOMMY BEAT OSWEILER AGAIN?

>non Americans think patriotism is just for bragging to other countries

>Lost 27-0 to the elite Jacoby Brissett
It's going to be a bloodbath

>The Pariots have American Flag colors New England and Boston are the birth place of America.
>Texans have the colors of the Texas flag which used to be the Republic of Texas' flag
I think it would be more weird if they didn't have those colors like Eagles being green.

>We are a Union of States of America
>each State is essentially a small country within a larger country
Trust me there is a big difference in culture from state to state. It's the main reason we have a weird election system.

>1 game sample size with a historically good defense at home

>muh damage control

>1 game sample size with a historically good defense at home

There's no damage to control, the Texans are going to get blown the fuck out

>tommy will really beat osweiller this team i swear
lel right

Put money on it then, you have a favorable spread

already did

>Their defense has gotten better
>facing a worse qb than what they faced in week 3
>no gronk
>Miller and Blue are healthy and ready to run roughshod through the Pats
Spread will be easy. It's the game you should be worried about.

(Not True By The Way)

Final score New England 27 Houston 10, push the 17.

And it's a healthy Pats team at home in the playoffs against a dogshit QB, the absolute worst case is that comes down to a TD or FG

you must love losing money

the only team the texans have beat on the road all year where the colts, you really think they're going to go on the road to new england of all places and WIN the game? Its going to take a miracle for them to even cover you can forget about them winning

>The last time a team was such a big favorite in a playoff game came in 1998, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. All three teams to be favored by at least 16 points in the past 40 years have covered the point spread in those games.

>The Texans have lost five in a row to the Patriots and have been outscored 171-79 in those games, according to ESPN Stats & Info data. The most recent loss came in Week 3 this season, when the Texans were shut out 27-0 in New England.

I'd like to see a lil' lightning & thunder action. With both Blount & Lewis going for 100+.

Watch 1 pregame (at a stadium, not TV) of an NFL game and you will realize just how big of a vehicle it is to push military values onto the general population.

this

GEEz

PEYTON MANNING > TOM GAYDY

I THOUGHT THE TEXANS WERE DUE!

They have lost by 25 or more the last 4 times the Texans have played the Patriots

Including a playoff matchup

posted in other thread, but I'm putting $100 on houston. losing 100 is not a big deal when you consider how much potential gain if they actually win.

Its just not worth it

Your outlook is why casinos make billions of dollars a year. Do yourself a favor and at least take the points.

Not sure how betting works, could you in theory bet a sum of money on the Texans to win and a sum of money on the Pats to win or beat the spread so that you would always come out in the black?

If you want to do that, though it is never guaranteed, you could live bet. Bet Houston moneyline IF you think they will have a significant lead at some point of the game, like 14-0 in the 1st quarter or 21-10 in the 2nd, something like that. Then bet on New England moneyline when they become the underdog at that point. Note that this is extremely unlikely to happen and New England will likely win by three touchdowns or more.

you spelled LA wrong

>betting money lines

top betpleb

Does that mean they're due for a win or due for a losing by under 25 points?

Patriots cover. Are the Texans even going to get a single touchdown? Not likely.

the fact that viper is from huston is makes it even funnier

Its mainly to push 'muh american values' onto everyone who watches it.

Someone else said it, go to an actual stadium during the game and you'll see how they try to push the military. They have signups for the Army and how you should sign up and feel proud because you are a "True American" for it.

Its a little ridiculous.

IS there a reason why this game is worth watching?

17 points is insane

>please play your anthem in my country big American penis

Only 3 tds. This is gonna be like the 40 point win against the colts they had 2 years ago

So this game is pretty much a must bet for the texans to cover the spread. What are the potential profits here?

football is the peaceful alternative to war
imagine if everyone just played football against each other instead of literally trying to kill each other

The Texans design isn't patriotic, it's just that Texas colors/symbols are similar to the national ones. And the Patriots are more about the Revolutionary War than contemporary nationalism.

This.

The NHL is attempting to organize a Rangers vs Army next year, nothing wrong with that.

>rams covered against patriots in super bowl
>patriots covered against giants
No

really? that's really interesting

I mean muh patriotism is a guaranteed sentiment whenever you get a lot of people together, didn't know they were tapping in to it this much

the military pays for those ads
someone read the department of defense's budget line by line and proved it

His will be done

Found the guy who just repeats what espn says

The formula to beat the Patriots is out there, and the Broncos and Seahawks didn't do it by pressuring Brady. You beat the Patriots by changing up the defensive schemes regularly. There isn't a simple way to beat Tom Brady, like there is to beat osweiller (which is cover 2), you have to take away Brady 's pre snap reads first and foremost, then you prevent the deep ball. But with blout stepping up, you better have linebackers who are on their toes. Cushing is the linch pin to the Texans defensive success Saturday

>using franchise statistics

If you just quoted this season, fine; if you quoted BoB tenure (which is to the tune of 75-7) fine. but don't be that tard that thinks a team doesn't change year to year, hell, month to month. Osweiler now has 200% more experience in this offense, this isn't week3 team. They texans may very well lose 27-0, but that would be a coincidence, or chalk it up to BoB being a cuck, has little to do with "we did it in the past so it's easy "

17 isn't enough, bet against the spread for sure

True okay

Clowney hopefully killing TB

Patriots by as many points as they feel like winning by. Knowing BB that'll be infinity.

Felger spread is at 20.5

Go with the points bro

Buy three points and then take the points

17? Daaaamn

...

>T-T-The Pats traded Jamie Collins after they played us. There's no way they can shut us out a-a-a-again.

>Not playing the anthem before all domestic games
We do it here too.

it was 90* last time, Osweiler thrives in the cold

You got that backwards m8

>pats best ppg defense in the NFL

I 'm not expecting a thrilling game.

Texans won the wildcard-game only because of Raiders injuries and a rooky QB against them.

They didn't make a single fieldgoal in the regular-season game against the pats. And it was the same before, since I first time watched the nfl. Historians help me, did Houston ever win against NE ?

For me it will be a game early in the morning. ( Fuck off old europe)
I think I will sleep away lastest at 3. Quarter.

Bye for the pats.
Big advanatge for their next game against somekind of birds. This will be the reason, they win the following game (vs Steelers!?) as well.

Germany understands football pretty well

Big Ben is 3-9 against Brady, 1-4 in the last five games. Just for reference.

Vegas is on the fast track to getting BTFO. Toxins take this with ease and the elite defense exposes Tom Babby and the Patriots.

No there isn't. It's the same bland architecture, language, history and culture from east to west.
There are more cultural differences in England between towns literally a couple of km away.

maybe if you and your bean buddies would stop jumping the fence it would be better
only difference between the states of mexico is the murder rate

Let's go patriots

Osweiler is underrated here. The guy has won his first game, has beaten the Patriots, has won two divisions (even if there is AFCS) and it's only his second season as a starting QB. You can tell about the Broncos defence but Texans' isn't bad.

He is not elite, he's not even in the level of a Cousins or a Stafford but he's good to me and will do great things for the Texans (he already did).

like taking up cap space

>big advertising machine
FLY EMIRATES, my friend, FLY EMIRATES

fuck psg

is New England /our team/?

they let trump in the locker room?

He let them in.

NFL is completely corrupt and rigged. The outcome is pre set from the beginning. I think they let the Cowboys win this season. Rating are down. So it makes sense.

>Patriotism is a meme
t. LAS MALVINAS SN ARGENTINAAASSSS (while ignoring the crippling debts and defaults
nice.

>prevent the deep ball

kek as if tim bradley's noodle arm can throw past 20 yards
