Let's talk about rush.
How did you like the movie? Did you know the story beforehand? What's your favourite and what's your least favourite part?
Let's talk about rush
Best movie Hemsworth's ever done and a good movie in its own right, best scene was when Hemsworth fucked up that reporter for being a cunt, can't really think of a bad part, I did like the idea of drilling the hole in the helmet during the Japan race though, slick detail.
>How did you like the movie?
Fun as fuck!
>Did you know the story beforehand?
Vaguely. My mate is obsessed with F1 so he was really hyped about it. I knew Hunt had a reputation as a massive shagger, drinker and smoker, and wore a T shirt that said 'sex: breakfast of champions' on it. I knew about their rivalry, but not how bad Lauda got fucked up.
>What's your favourite and what's your least favourite part?
nothing stands out specifically. Hemsworth's accent wasn't perfect. Favourite: probably all the scenes of the meetings before the race. Who knows if that's how it happened, but these dudes wanting so bad to race that they put themselves in danger was a great story. And seeing them racing at Crystal Palace (which is near my house) was pretty cool.
Also the bit when Lauda talked about being a little rat man because rats always win was funny
The part with the breathing tube was fucking sick
Poor man's Senna.
Senna is incredible and clearly superior. I don't think that detracts from Rush though.
Literally a documentary
I loved the part where they showed the '76 races in quick succession with only the subtitles "Lauda wins, Hunt retires", "Hunt wins, lauda 2nd" etc
Really immersed me on their rivalry careerwise
It was okay. Spent too much time on their personal lives and relationships. Tries too hard to make them out too be completely opposite. Too obvious, too on the nose. Too Hollywood.
Not enough actual racing, though when they did show it, it was pretty good. Soundtrack was excellent.
6/10. Watch Senna instead.
cuck
The only real problem I had with the movie was the over the top aggression between Niki and Hunt. In reality they really liked each other other than the gentlemens sports-rivalry ofcourse
I loved it desu
I saw it a long time ago but i think my favorite part was lauda driving through the country and meeting his wife
They were opposite tho. Lauda really said that he wasn't surprised when he heard Hunt died young.
I agree they were dehumanised into archetypes somewhat, but maybe the movie wasn't about the racing?
The best part was seeing Hemsworth's ass. God I wish he'd just sit on my face
i loved it, i am not a big f1 fan, i still watch some races through the year and know a bit of history
my only complaint is that it felt too central, in the whole movie you got 3 pilots IIRC, Hunt, Lauda, and Regazzoni.
It was hilarious to see Laudas borderline autism
>racecar drivers drive fast and look good, no?
>There is no incentive to drive fast. It adds to the risk and Im not getting paid, so why drive fast?
Austrian here, I loved Laudas accent. Also the subtitles were completely wrong most of the time.
Clearly they were opposite. So there was no need to shove it people's face at every opportunity.
That's even worse. Because the racing was the only good part of the movie. The rest was pretty cringy.
...
I loved that too
Loved it actually.
Didn't know the story, just that it was an f1 movie. The acting and dramatisation was completely engaging. The couple sex scenes were a bit shoehorned but other than that, great movie. Worth watching at least once in any life time
James Hunt did nothing wrong, just a bit of banter that's all
This. Was fucking ridiculous I thought. Why show the actual races when we can just put the results on the screen.
I wasn't being sarcastic though...
Also, the casting was spot-on!
How do you get immersed looking at results?
>you're only allowed to like one movie about racing
when will this autism end?
Meh
james hunt looks more like zach mcgowan than hemsworth
What the fuck do you even mean watch Senna instead?
Senna is a documentary, Rush is not. Why would you suggest it as an alternative?
Fucking retards on here
I think you're the autistic one if that's what you took out of that post.
Because they're both about F1 and Senna is the superior movie. What difference does it make the difference in genres?
frankly I just liked the style and it gave a nice overview about them being almost head to head
Said the person obsessed with categorizing and ranking things
I think the issue here is that you don't seem to fucking understand that Senna is a documentary, not a movie.
This invalidates your comparison.
it's probably one of the most well cast movies of all time
I don't understand.
Both about F1. Both biographical and are based on true events. There are clear enough similarities between them for comparison to be made. It isn't like comparing Star Wars to David Attenborough.
Olivia Wildes accent was terrible and im finnish
The characters were too cliche and one-dimensional, but it was ok.
>le dindu nuffin golden boy senna
when will this meme fucking end?
Fuck off will you.
Senna was a good documentary. Rush a good movie. There is no need to spout bullshit like "hurr don't watch that one but that one".
Plus Senna made Senna a fucking saint when in reality he was just another asshole like Prost, Schumacher and their likes.
damn, is this the most accurate cast ever?
>fuck off will you
Nah. You've not been able to back up any of the things you say with reasons. You've barely managed to sound like a human being. Every single one of your posts is just fuck this fuck that you're a retard you're an autist. You are another underage try hard faggots from reddit who have been making this place unbearable. So do us all a favour and go back to where you came from.
>your posts
I posted one in this thread.
Makes no difference. Point still stands.
