Can anyone confirm or deny that letterboxd is just the hipster IMDB?

prefer not to say

letterboxd.com/plebiann
Any edgy movie recommendations?

I have a six day of weekend and a list of 20 movies to get through.
No idea which one to start with.

letterboxd.com/ocarina98/

just watch the work of Noé, Haneke or Von Trier

Reminder that /lbg/ has never ever EVER been this chock full of useless, cookie cutter embryos with quotidian "movie buff" taste

You can literally change your pronouns. It's a SJW IMDb.

...

Letterboxd, ladies and gentlemen.

If you use letterboxd as anything more than a movie log you're doing it wrong.

yes, cause you have way better taste then all of us.

You could just use better sites for that.

Here you get popups of XIR XER pronouns available for users

...

You better believe it... junior

letterboxd.com/plebiann/list/essential-edgy-core-i-need-to-watch/ i made this list. I hope i added the correct movies, because some of them had the same name as other movies.

letterboxd.com/SovietSplicer/

Just watched Children of Men, it's got me in the mood for some dystopia kino - time to watch 28 Days Later again.

letterboxd.com/film/blue-1993/

Just a blue screen.

Bravo, nice audiovisual medium, 5/5 because it's about LGBTQIAU+ xD

letterboxd.com/herb_guy/

hi

You picked all the right ones. I wouldn't recommend watching them all back to back, because if I tried to do that I would probably kill myself.

There are some other good ones hold on I'll check.

did you watch it? There's narration, and it's blue for a reason.

Im problably gonna watch a movie from the list, once a week. In two hours im going to watch Straw Dogs.

Hard to be a God is a great edgy film.

Just watched Children of Men myself, was pleasantly surprised with it. Might be one of my favorite movies now.

Other essential /edgy/-stuff (I should make a chart of this.) again sorry if you've already seen any of this stuff:

Snowtown Murders
Come and See
Son of Saul
Blue Valentine
Sansho the Bailiff
The Road
Antichrist
Threads

who cares

letterboxd.com/OriginalName3/

>all those less than 2 star movies

Out of that entire list, I think the only movie worth watching is Threads.

Then you've got a bad taste with regards to edgecore films. Bunch of them are fine, few of them you should watch for internet points

90% of people are favorable towards it on letterboxd, imdb and rottentomatoes. NINETY PERCENT. It's not a divisive movie. But sure, it's a garbage movie because you don't like it. I'm sure it being a big popular blockbuster has nothing to do with your opinion of it.

thought you could escape me huh fucker

Is Clint Eastwood secretly the greatest director of the modern era?

>Million Dollar Baby
>Gran Turino
>Letters from Iwo Jima
>American Sniper

>secretly
I wasn't aware that was a secret

'no'

>forgetting unforgiven

I don't see a lot of posters here talk about Eastwood as a director, only as an actor.

i've always wondered how it works to both be the director and star of a film

I suspect it has become a lot easier with digital

What is video assist?

i don't know what that is

Cool story, bro.

i enjoyed the 2nd Ghostbusters more than the 1st one

am i doing something wrong?

is the new one worth a watch?

How is Threads or Come and See edgy? How does portraying real life events make a movie edgy?

letterboxd.com/machill54/

Ken loach is voting for corbyn, does that mean I should too

>The idea of Clint Eastwood as a great or even good director is one of the biggest collective delusions of our time. Dark cinematography, downbeat/dark stories and the approval of French critics can't cover up his absolutely amateur, uncinematic, boring filmmaking style.

DELET

letterboxd.com/synt/

I hadn't looked at the BBC list of best films until today. I'm disappointed.

>What were you expecting?

I don't actually know.

i heard this guys good where do i start though

start by sucking a few cocks, if you enjoy that you'll surely enjoy the films of Wes Anderson

>vulgar autism spotlight director
>EVER GOOD

no not even de palma

tumblr: the director

>Wes Anderson
>vulgar auteurism
lmao what

not enough sj in his filmography
more like pinterest: the director

vulgar auteurism boogeyman is everywhere

Grand Budapest is a good place to start.

oh. alright then. guess i'll continue avoiding

I have a very exciting life as you can see.

All those ratings need 1 star less.

kek why do this

I know. I think I was somewhat generous just because I liked seeing some of the characters from the games, even though they had no characterization really.

Autism.

Psycho 2 was damn good and pretty bold for a sequel. Anthony Perkins really carried this film and I'm glad he was able to play his role again. Gonna watch Exorcist 3 later tonight.

letterboxd.com/voexodus/

tfw no Meg Tilly gf

Whatever happened to her?

dude she was fucking gorgeous

Is rateyourmusic's film section just letterboxd with better overall taste?

could she still get it or nah

It hurts lads

From me? Yes.

letterboxd.com/avadavis/

thoughts?

/lbg/ keeping its classic standard of quality, I see

>it's always been quality not quantity
>5 stars for a movie with a 1.5 minute food orgy

when will the va claim The Island?

Suck my dick bitch.
