Yeah, got the first section of this waltz I picked up on sunday and polished up a mazurka I learned yesterday. Learning easier pieces is the best way to boost your self esteem
>tfw just putting off the difficult stuff I got stuck on
I just need to know what the best acoustic I can get under €2000 is. Preferably around €1000. (That's like $2000/$1000 because of import costs and markup)
Kevin Hill
They have these things called FAQs and Customer Support, you should look into them.
Ian Ortiz
Cheesy as hell, but competent playing
Kayden Smith
I just stole one of this babies. How did I do
Josiah Brooks
Do you have any Jackson guitars? Post em. How is the quality these days now that Fender owns them?
I guess there is a global decline of quality in this sense that regardless of guitar brand they are all made in Korea or in other oriental country anyway. This is the reason why market is saturated with all these "signature models" from even guys you ever knew existed. Just make a bit custom shape, slap in certain specs -> manufacture in China for cheap and sell it as "signature model"...
Jeremiah Ross
Here's data from google. It's bit old but probably gives an idea.
Nicholas Watson
That looks cool. I really wish I could draw like this. I wish I could draw.
Elijah Peterson
It's almost photoreal. You should apply for a comic book artist at Marvel.

I can't get a good sound out of it. Someone just tell me where to turn the knobs.

>I can't get a good sound out of it Because there's no such thing as good pedal distortion, it has to come from the amp
Lucas Reed
explain the angry charlie
Camden Reed
What do you mean? An effect built into the amp? Or a good amp, on clean with the pedal will sound good?
Amp is a Rolan cube 30.
Is there anything wrong with plugging the pedal into a sound system?
Lucas Richardson
I want to get my first guitar. Been looking around a bit and I don't want to spend too much being an absolute beginner and all, but I do want a somewhat nice guitar. I can afford to get something more than bottom of the barrel trash and I figure a nice guitar motivates much more to actually play it than a trash one. I'm more into rock and metal (stoner, doom, psych, death, black etc. The heavy stuff.) than the more clean genres, so I was looking at an Epiphone SG Special (€150). Good choice? I do like how it looks and sounds. And if so, I will need an amp to go with it. Just a practice amp for at home so it needs at least a headphone out. Any recommendations?
Leo Wright
just get a squire strat hss
Xavier Reyes
I was going to recommend epiphone SG before I even read that far.
Great all rounder, good for heavier stuff.
Adam Stewart
Go Gibson or go home
Brayden Gomez
shouldn't you be at work dad?
Daniel Perez
Epiphone is a great guitar for a great price. My SG makes me feel guilty because I play it more than my $1000 guitar
Christian Reed
Are there any pedals under $100 that sound like Adam Jones from Tool?
Daniel Reed
adam doesn't really use a lot of effects, mostly just distortion. the thing with him is he mixes 3 different amps together to get his sound. the closest thing i'd say you can get to his sound is a rat
Brody Davis
I really want to own a Gibson 335 one day, but until that day, I need something more affordable...any recommendations?
Jace Miller
Go Gibson or go home
William James
Is throwing money at a new guitar a good way to remotivate me to continue playing? I've only got a G-400 right now with a 40w Blackstar amp.
Camden Green
>What do you mean? An effect built into the amp? A separate high-gain channel in the amp.
This is the tried and true method for good distortion: High gain tube amp + good cab + overdrive pedal (almost all the distortion should come from the amp, the OD pedal is just to increase the level going in and color the tone a bit)
Everything else like pedals, amp sims, modeling amps, etc are just an attempt to replicate a good tube amp setup. Some methods get close, most fall far short What you need to do is upgrade the amp, not buy a pedal. Save up a couple thousand for a good half stack - dropping a hundred or so on pedals won't get you where you want to be. Every kid playing in their bedroom on a practice amp realizes this eventually
Jonathan James
>i've never tried any other distortion pedal other than a ds1: the post
Angel Young
>implying I want a 'good' distortion sound
Aaron Davis
Hell, I play through my sound system half the time.
I just want a decent effect pedal. Sorry you had to waste your time writing all that out.
Nathaniel Foster
I'm trying to decide which amp will replace my small ibanez practice amp.
Atm the 3 brands i'm considering: Fender amps Orange amps Roland Jc-40
Jason Campbell
>wanting to sound like trash You do you, guy. No skin off my nards All those supposedly good pedals fall into the category of 'methods that get close to accurately replicating the sound'. It depends if you're the kind of person who can be happy with "almost good enough" That's pretty much stating "I'm not interested in good tone" and then asking "how do I get good tone?" - the answer is not with a pedal and not through your sound system
Levi Robinson
>All those supposedly good pedals fall into the category of 'methods that get close to accurately replicating the sound'. It depends if you're the kind of person who can be happy with "almost good enough"
please stop posting, it's obvious you haven't tried many distortion pedals
Robert Gutierrez
>That's pretty much stating "I'm not interested in good tone" The question was which sub $100 pedal had the best tone Not how to spend $1000s on the perfect tone
Nathan Kelly
Get 2 guitars lol
Eli Perez
Here's a little something my karate sensei taught me - "the enemy of excellence is good enough"
Literally these pedals only exist to replicate the sound of tube distortion. It's impossible for a replication to surpass the original, the best you can hope for is to become good enough. Therefore it's pointless to delve into pedals. Unless you're prepared to forsake excellence.
>"how do I get good tone out of this" *you can't, because reasons* >"what do you mean?" *expounds upon reasons* >moves the goalpost
Okay.
Gavin Carter
What kind of output do you want? JCs arent that good for distortion ime(one company that backlines a festival every year has a couple and i always play around with them). I like the peavey classic 30, i've got some good cleans out of it before and the dirt is about what youd expect from a peavey. I have a fender london 185 from the 80s that's pretty cool, the clean channel reminds me of a jc but not as nice, the distorted channel sounds like a low gain fuzz pedal(anything but dimed gain doesn't sound too good) which i kinda like but I only use the dirt for recording sometimes. The london is loud as fuck, but cheap because it wasn't recieved well at all, and you can get it as a 2x12 combo(but it's called a pro 185). The old fender amps and their clones are nice, the twin reverb is great for clean, as are the bassman/jtm45 which breaks up a little easier. The newer models are good but different, the blues and hotrod series are alright. There's also the Vox AC series. Some JCM900s have pretty cool clean channels, but they're not for everybody. I modded my 4100DR and it's my favorite amp. Some hughes and kettners have pretty good clean channels too. There's also the mesa lone star classics. I also had the opportunity to play through one of those old musicman amos with an SS pre and tube power amp, it was nice but not really my taste.

>Sup Forums poster laughs at the concept of harboring physical and mental discipline What a surprise
>"how do I get good tone out of this" Reading comprehension. Again the question was what's the best, doesn't even imply 'good', by your standards
Jacob James
Bought this instead. What's the best amp sim software?
>actually needed a 48v phantom power supply for something else
Christopher King
I've been recording from usb out on my 6505mh and if the post-gain is too high the signal starts to clip. Is there anything I can do because it starts clipping at relatively low volume.. Would the MSDI also clip if I ran it to an interface?
Julian Green
i use pirate amplitube for demos
Mason Adams
isn't there a pad option somewhere? also
Alexander Phillips
Moving in two days. Packed all my shit up. Wish I didn't.
Gabriel Stewart
Get a Les Paul and laugh at the poorfags with the rest of us Gibson 'cucks'. The key to getting a good tone out of a Squier Jazzmaster is to harbor intense jealousy, and we're providing that service.
Colton Morgan
What are some essentail strumming patterns I should learn? I just want to sound more "musical" while practicing chord changes.
Jordan Foster
There's nothing really "essential." You'll pick it up naturally from playing along with records you like.
If you can pick up Jessica by the Allman Brothers, you'll get pretty much that whole genre.
Drive by Incubus is a good one for patterns, too.
Julian King
bro don't get that one it's backwards

Are Ibanez guitars worth it? I don't know much about guitars but I went to the store and tried one out and couldn't believe just how much better it feels to play than my shitty practice fender.
Kevin Wood
they have exceptionally thin necks, if thats what you like, there's nothing better
Carter Perry
can anyone share the pdf for monster scales and modes?
can't find the pdf anywhere and don't have 10€ to spend

Hello friends. Can any of you link me to a schematic for split P-90s?
Carter Kelly
Guys How does change Alien amp choobs? How does the I shoves fuse in dick? Halp Pl0x?
Cooper Lewis
Why don't you play the high E on this shape?
Nathan Powell
Waiting on my overdrive pedal my dude
Matthew Taylor
You can, it's just doubling the root. Most beginers hands won't stretch for it easily.
Andrew Miller
That's because it's a cheap-ass pedal I bought a Digitech Hardwire TL2 and it's wonderful Basically try to refund that shit and get a more quality product
Lucas Collins
Thanks, user.
James Russell
You can also do a different voicing with that shape like so: [x] [x] [2] [2] [4] [4] Just use the high E as the root and move it around.
Gabriel Taylor
Oh shit I fucked that up, still not fully awake. Supposed to be: E [5] B [5] G [2] D [2] A [x] E [x]
Landon King
What does a CIJ Jazzmaster from around '02 or '04 go for these days? And is it worth picking up over a MIM model?
Caleb Roberts
I usually play with Ableton and I never owned a single pedal
I'm not very skilled, but I like to play with chords and harmonies, having different "sound textures" all over the place while recording
should I start buying some pedals? I could even build myself some actually Is it wrong that I'm more into sound and feel rather than shredding and doing powersolos?
Luke Flores
get a gibson moderne ofc
Joseph Ross
If you're already recording stuff, just go deep into the plugin side of things instead
Dylan Smith
covers, mostly usually bands have more than one guitar so I record different lines with different effects, plugins and presets
isn't hardware usually better than software when it comes to producing?
Christian Cook
I just thought of a new idea to improve my soloing, I hum with my voice what would sound good on track and then transcribe it to guitar, does that sound like a good idea?
