Usually under door mats or behind things like planters. I deliver to a nicer, richer area so theft isn't really an issue. I filed for an area change after some hick put a shotgun in my face for knocking at his door. I was in a ups uniform holding a box, and some asshole just levels a shotgun to me.

On the job I'm not allowed to defend myself with any type of weapon. Yet im allowed to carry dog mace on me. Never needed it, I love dogs too much. But that was the only time I've been in danger on the job, usually the big issue is people who can't drive being on the road

I often refrain from putting things under mats unless they're flat or the area infront of the door is enclosed somewhat.
I try to put packets in the letterbox if they'll fit, if not then I look for the most "hidden" location. If not the immediately evident, I'll attempt another specific location, unless it's infested with spiders. If it's not hidden well enough then I card it to the closest Post Office for the most likely time I'll finish by.
I didn't think I'd make 4pm today but I did. Damn shame I changed from carding for 4pm, but for 9am tomorrow.

I just have been really good with animals all my life, my first year I did the driver helper position and the driver was freaking out over a big German Shepherd. So I got out of the truck, the dog walked with me to the door and walked with me back to the truck. I let him sniff my hand before I even started walking towards his home. Doggo was chill 10/10 would pet again.

In Australia, you can have your power shut off for have a dogrun in the front yard because it can stop meter inspectors from getting to your meters (which they technically own)
