You won't have to use a VPN on any private trackers. Open trackers is a different thing. There are 2 ways to get into a good private movie tracker, through What.CD or Animebytes.

What.CD requires you to do an interview on IRC and answering a few questions about transcoding.

Animebytes just requires you to fill out a simple form about what kinda anime/manga you like.

You need to become a Power User to get access to invite forums. That requires 25gb uploaded, 5 torrents uploaded & 1.05 ratio on What. Can be a bit difficult if you're clueless about music encoding.

On Animebytes you need to upload 10 torrents (just pick 10 one-shots from mangaupdates new releases), 25gb upload (site has bonus points, so that's nothing) and 0.7 ratio. Should be quite easy even if you have no idea what you're doing. Takes 30sec to make a torrent and upload it after you have read the "how-to", there is even a button to fill in the info for you.

Both require you to be a user for 2 weeks before you can become a PU. It all may sound like a hassle, but it's the way to get on the best movie downloading sites in the world.

Is it really worth it? Is there no other way to watch high quality movies? Upping torrents is how you get arrested, I'm paranoid just uploading shit to MEGA.

I'd be more worried uploading to MEGA than uploading something on a private tracker. It's definitely worth it. It's night and day. Once you're in one you will think "why the hell didn't I do this before". It's the best thing if you have any interest in movies. Before I spent years using P2P, DDL services etc. Nothing compares to private trackers.

It may seem like a hassle and take some time researching when you know nothing, but it's really not all that work. I was where you're at 10 months ago and I could not be happier now.

If you leak workprint movies directly from the studios. There are so few people that have actually been arrested that you can count them on your hands and they did serious stuff also not on any of these private trackers.

I'll never touch a movie that's been chopped up by dozens of people and uploaded on a DDL site again. There is no other real way to watch movies in the highest quality.

Buy a blu-ray from amazon.

They're cheap AF, rip them and sell them back. Each blu-ray will cost you around $3, It's totally worth it.

You need to check if someone else has uploaded it first. Chances are someone else has already uploaded your anime, so your best bet is going to new releases on mangaupdates and grabbing stuff from there.

You can upload unarchived and archived stuff (.rar). So you can make 2 torrents out of each one-shot/manga. So you really only need to find 5 Manga to upload. It can be done quickly. You still need to have been a member for 2 weeks before you can get into other sites, so just worry about that first and take things slowly.
