It's the second Disney Star Wars film. They're still trying to wash out the bitter taste of the pequels out of people's mouths. Maybe down the line he'll have a cameo, but it was always pushing it to think he'd have a role this early.
Jackson Parker
I TRIED SO HARD
Andrew Jenkins
why would he make a cameo, wasnt he completely burned and turned into the mask wearing darth vader everyone knows and loves? maybe they show him putting the mask on or what?
Logan Stewart
Didn't he make it a point to hide and move as far away from the franchise as he could? I mean I feel like he'd probably accept it if they offered it to him because money, but I don't think they'd approach him anyone.
Juan Lopez
He realizes TFA was shit and being in another Star Wars trainwreck would not help his career in any possitive way.
William Rivera
You wouldn't have the nuts to say that to my face fuckhead.
Liam Hernandez
>trying to wash out the bitter taste of the pequels out of people's mouths >by making TFA lmao
Lincoln Morgan
jumper
was
better than episode 7
come at me bros
Jacob Turner
Fuck you JJ, Id destroy you with one hand.
Jaxson Jones
Why would Carrie Fisher make a cameo she was fat as shit and old
Hunter Garcia
>Didn't he make it a point to hide and move as far away from the franchise as he could?
No. He was actually interested in reprising the role for The Clone Wars cartoon.
Christopher Powell
no one will "come at you." TFA was terrible and worse than every prequel.
John Parker
Agreed, Christensen is actually not a bad actor, I saw him in that movie about the New Republic writer who literally just made up stories. He was pretty good.
Shattered Glass is what it was called.
Parker Wood
That picture needs captions: "When you get that really good bud." "Just got back from swimming in Rio." "Damn Padme... wash that pussy once in a while." "Fucking sand in my eye."
Joshua Nguyen
>boy, those prequels sure were terrible, huh? Don't worry guys, we're true fans of the movies just like you! Han shot first, amiright?
Nathan Morales
kill yourself
Christopher Butler
TFA was worse than the prequels.
>0 charm remake of ep4 >Nothing memorable about it >Can't remember any of the characters name or what happened except the the protagonist girl was the worst mary-sue in a live action movie of all time
Ayden Wood
(You)
Try being more subtle next time.
Zachary Phillips
The prequels were far better than Episode VII|
Wyatt Collins
You think I'm fucking trolling?
TFA was 2/10, points salvaged by Harrison Ford only.
Ian Ward
Eh, still needs work.
Keep at it though, you'll get there eventually.
Levi Gutierrez
why not? it's true, even hayden thinks so. Wasn't there rumors of a lawsuit because prequels were so bad? I remember Natalie Portman making some kind of similar statement.
Ian Lopez
Just let it go man. The TFA shills are a minority on Sup Forums.
Hide the thread and live life
Jacob Long
the prequels were better than the original trilogy
Jaxon Martin
Slightly better. Still a bit obvious.
I think it was your timing.
Benjamin Jackson
>being this in denial
Face it, Episode 7 is generally disliked and considered worse than the prequels (at least on Sup Forums)
Ryan Ward
>You've done that yourself!
Cooper Cruz
There are literally other actors from the prequels making cameos in Rogue One.
He was alright in this. I like to think of it as an alternate retelling of his post-clone wars story. With Nick Cage as Obi-Wan.
Sebastian Young
Sup Forums (and Sup Forums in general) will always hate the newest things. Its the same thing with games on Sup Forums. Things that got slaughtered on release are getting more popular as more sequels are released.
I predicted that the prequels would be viewed more favourably after TFA's release even though theyre for the most part awful movies (excluding some parts like the assassin chase in the beginning och 2 and Obi wan vs Jango Fett). I think TFA was pretty good. It had some good sceneries, and Kylo ren is a way more intersting villain than Darth Maul. The thought that its not only the dark side that has its pull, but also the light side is pretty interesting.
Angel Jenkins
>Sequel was to wash out the bitter taste of the prequels
Except the prequels actually reinvigorated Star Wars and gave us more actual content than the OT did. The only people who dislike them are contrarian little 20 year old faggots who didn't even see them in the cinemas.
Even Phantom Menace was more of a Star Wars film and vastly lore-intensive than TFA.
How many people did you know even understood what the First Order was after seeing the film? Or what happened to the Empire? Why was The Resistance even a thing? What were Snoke and Kylo even supposed to be considering neither held the Darth moniker?
What was the system that was destroyed, and why were the entire New Republic fleet stationed around these planets and not defending the neutral zone between them and The First Order/Empire?
Then let's look at TPM:
>"Omg, who can understand all this trade rubbish that was clearly outlined in the film xDD"
Ian Gonzalez
Agreed. At least the concepts and art behind the prequels were original and not some iStormtrooper fucking trash. That and some truly great scenes >Podracer sequence >Darth Maul vs Obi Wan/Qui Gon
Levi Perez
Id say the people who like the prequels are 20-25 year old contrarians who watched them in cinemas before even seeing the old ones and now its part of their nostalgia.
Aiden Bennett
I'd say that you're full of shit and we actually got to see the OT in theatres unlike your pleb preteen self. The prequels were disappointing but had memorable scenes and sets.
TFA was a bland nostalgia-grab explosionfest that felt like a watered down New Hope with shittier pacing, direction, and concepts. But yea keep shilling for disney gotta get that 4 billion back
Cooper Edwards
>Id say the people who like the prequels are 20-25
Plenty of adults like the prequels. Also, all of asia likes the prequels because for years that's all of what they knew of Star Wars.
Colton Campbell
Even half of /r/starwars hates episode 7. It was shit.
Christian Baker
its not that i dont understand the trade bullshit, it's that the trade bullshit is fucking boring and has no place in a star wars movie
Zachary Anderson
well pretty much the whole world disagrees with you so oh well
Aiden Rogers
I wish I could be as delusional as you.
Connor Richardson
I'm 26 and knew the prequels were awkward trash as a child
Jose Russell
there has never been a good star wars movie
Elijah Gomez
So if you're so smart, why can't you see TFA for the hogwash it is?
Julian Torres
It's a shame, prequels really damaged the careers of the actors that took part in them, even though they weren't at fault. I would have been alright with him being inside the suit. This whole "we're not the prequels guys!!!" stuff is getting old.
Aiden Gomez
20-25 year olds are adults
Im 25 years old, meaning I was 9-10 when phantom menace released. I thought it was awesome at the time, I played the PS1 game and everything. I even liked ep2 a lot when it released, it wasnt until ep3 that I had outgrown it. When I later rewatched ep1 and 2 I found them extremely boring sans a few interesting ship/robot designs. The normal battle droids were ridicoulus comic relief, Jar jar was awful, and count Dooku underutilized. It feels like too much of the movies are just chase scenes, and 'hilarious' quips, which is a flaw that TFA has as well but at least it tries, and sometimes succeeds in being dramatic too. The most flawed aspect of the prequels is Anakin himself as he's miscasted to hell. Kylo ren och the other hand is spot on casting.
Justin Reed
wow what a twink
gonna jerk off to this
Jonathan Clark
>The Force Awakens being better than a film like Episode 3 This meme really needs to end
Chase Rogers
Sorry, you're not going to convince me you genuinely hate something this universally loved. :^)
Joseph King
It's not universally loved at all, even half of reddit hates it. Keep shilling tho, maybe Disney will give you a raise
Carson Richardson
>10/10 >great actor >sign up for some fatfucks cash grab from dumb manchildren >never get hired again >your castmate gets her jewish connections to land her in cold mountain to save her career >you fade into irrelevancy
Hollywood is so cruel
Camden Wilson
TFA would have been better if it had a First Act. Instead JJ was too focused on making sure that it looked and felt exactly like Episode 4 so all the OT fans would go see it so many times to relive their nostalgia.
Leo Nguyen
he's not even a good actor, much less a great actor. Natalie at least is capable of acting.
Michael Hall
>even half of reddit
Opinion discarded. Ed
Nathan Howard
Prequelfags BTFO
Jayden Martinez
I can't be the only one who liked him in this
Joshua Robinson
JUST
Samuel Anderson
wew that's some top tier cringe, thank kek school starts soon for you kids. If you're not the seek help
Sebastian Garcia
see above posts. >also "In time" with Justin cheesey swing timberlake was far better than episode 7.
Justin Jenkins
A real missed opportunity.
Look how good he would have looked here if this was his make up design in the film
Jason Moore
TFA was better than the prequels and for some that was enough. But it was still boring as all fuck.
Carson Russell
That doesn't seem right. Why didn't he do it then?
Liam Edwards
>also "In time" with Justin cheesey swing timberlake was far better than episode 7. I loved that film. Well I mainly loved the idea of people dying at age 30 with a clock attached to their arm and I was looking forward to see possible sequels with more people living in that world. Similar to the Butterfly Effect trilogy
Carter Baker
It's the Union vs the Confederacy, in space.
The Trade Federation wanted independence from the Corrupt republic who they saw as imposing their will on those who didn't want it or vote for it.
The CIS were actually the good guys.
Jason Phillips
DISNEY'S "TOMMORROWLAND WAS far better than episode 7.
Justin Edwards
I DON'T WANT TO WATCH STAR WARS ANYMORE
GIVE ME SOMETHING NEW
Isaiah Wright
There is no reason for any real actor to play Vader in a movie when you only need any big tall guy to wear a costume. Of course Hayden is not going to be in it. What a stupid thread desu
Sebastian Perez
There is not one single scene in all of TFA as memorable as Episode I's podracing sequence. Furthermore, I'd say Episode 1 is a better movie simply for the fact that it spawned n64 podracer.
>Seriously tho fa m >put this shit on surround sound and crank volume
Anyone who thinks that prequels were better than TFA is a retard.
William Sanders
>They're still trying to wash out the bitter taste of the pequels out of people's mouths. But half of Star Wars fans and most of the world enjoys the prequels. It's a literal meme that people hate them by an overwhelming majority.
Angel Reed
this desu
Isaiah Price
4 or 5 at the top spot
then 6
then1 2 3
. . . . holiday special ewoks battle of endor ewoks carvan of courage . . . the force awakens
the only correct order.
Adam Jones
agreed
>but disney shills will claim otherwise
Ethan Powell
how far from top spot to ep 6
Hudson Cox
why/when did the dark side change your eyes?
why was sheev able to keep his eyes normal?
if it's optional it just dumb.
Aiden Smith
Face it. Remove Jar Jar Binks and TPM is a masterpiece.
It will be remembered as a legendary film in many years to come.
Chase Diaz
Anakin was the chosen one. He had lots of energy flowing through him. Once he turned evil all that energy must have come so much more stronger hence the eye change.
I really liked this reveal shot
Nathaniel Jones
>when Millennials scramble for (You)s
Jacob Gutierrez
Finally an opinion that makes sense
Oliver Murphy
a galaxy far away.
as a youngling almost the best ot movie.
as a jedi master you can see the cash grab potential of the ewok's
and the rehashed ending.
>death star 2.0 etc
still blows the PT out tho
han solo should have died in jedi
lucas should have shot the scene's with vader taking luke too the city planet.
Colton Wright
Obi Won and Qui Gon Jinn. 2 legendary characters that will be praised in many years to come when Shakespeare fans watch the prequels.
How can you not love that opening shot of Phantom Menace with them in robes? It is so memorable.
So many things about the prequels are so memorable.
Connor Cooper
Remove Anakin, and its a great movie.
>no more podracing >no more bad child acting with retarded lines "spinning that's a good trick" and "are you a space angel?" >no more Anakin builds C3-P0 >no more Jesus-Anakin >no more Jedi can only start training at 1 year old because that's fucking retarded, and Luke basically did it as an adult over the summer
Just cut to a kid Anakin at the end, we don't need to know his retarded origin, especially because he's really just a side character in I.
Jackson Ramirez
It is probably Lucas reasoning too but you know like me every sith now has yellow glowing eyes.
I'm sure there's a wookiepedia page about it...
Jonathan Baker
the podrace scene was so good, it alone expanded the universe far more than episode 7 >new aliens >a look into sport in the star wars universe >new vehicles >fast paced fun
Fact is that a lot of the hate towards the PT is entirely undeserved and didn't exist until the Plinkett videos. I could easily nitpick the OT as much as RLM nitpicked the prequels
Austin Lee
>Just cut to a kid Anakin at the end, we don't need to know his retarded origin Out of all the prequel hatred, this is by far the dumbest one I have ever read
>not liking the podracing segment okay you are trolling big time
Also I liked the scene when he said goodbye to his mother. It was emotional for me. His acting wasn't bad in that scene but yes he needed to stop doing the "yippee" stuff
Christian Sanchez
Except Every Sith but Dooku had it.
It was just Hack Lucas trying to make sure the audience knows he's bad now.
Henry Rodriguez
here's how to keep the pod race without anakin
>same thing happen they land on tattoine, the need parts >only way to get the parts is to gamble them at racing because no money >obi wan fly the pod
Noah Cox
>prequel apologists will defend this
Leo Myers
I think it's good that anakin is the one driving the pod. In the OT Vader was the best pilot the Empire had, so, as George would say, it's like poetry, it rhymes(and unlike what those fuckfaces at RLM think that's a good thing)
Colton Butler
>Fact is that a lot of the hate towards the PT is entirely undeserved and didn't exist until the Plinkett videos Not true, my man.
Blake Ramirez
Please tell me how this is any worse than the singing scene in episode 6. The podracing scene is one of the most memorable in the entire saga. Far more memorable than anything in episode 7, that's for sure.
Cooper Watson
>Rogue One: Hayden Christensen will not cameo in Star Wars spin-off
Why would he? The prequels are non canon.
Brody Wood
Why is he the best pilot tho? Was it because of years of dedicated training and surviving battle and learning from his mistakes?
Oh no. No he's just the best. He's spinning, that's a legendary trick.
Cameron Clark
should have started the episode 1 with pod racing,,,, man children would have been coming in their Y fronts.
ending on qui gonobi wan vs maul fight.
episode 2 + 3 have no adrenaline pumping scenes.
Bentley Foster
>Darth Maul vs Obi Wan/Qui Gon I'll agree with the podrace, but this one fucking sucked.
Benjamin Ross
It is true though, I remember when Episode III came out everybody loved the prequels. Sure, we knew episode 2 wasn't great but episode 3 was adored.
Because he has fast reflexes due to the force. As Qui Gon says, he has 'jedi reflexes'. Anakin had the highest powerlevel in the entire universe.
Ryder Williams
dated CGI? Lol good one friend >with any luck we'll cheapen the old canon and force people to buy our disney ripoffs anew
Landon Cooper
So he's just naturally good? That's like being impressed at a fish being good at swimming.
Gavin Watson
>episode 2 + 3 have no adrenaline pumping scenes That's unfair. The battle over coruscant in ep 3 is awesome, as is the final duel between Vader and Obi Wan. It was fucking amazing to watch in the cinema on opening night. As for Episode 2, I think it's the weakest in the PT but the Battle in Geonosis is pretty cool at the end
Micheal Phelps is naturally a good swimmer because of his genes and mutated joints. Are you impressed by him?
Parker Jenkins
>There are literally other actors from the prequels making cameos in Rogue One. do normies remember that jimmy smits was in revenge of the switch
