I watched the matrix movies when I was a kid and loved them to death, thought it was the coolest shit ever but obviously there was a great deal I didn't understand.
I did rewatch the first one several times when I was a teenager and appreciated it even more.
Out of curiosity I just rewatched the sequels and I'm far more confused than when I was a kid. I don't even know where to begin with this. What's with Neo in the end? Is he even human? Did the Smith thing occurred in the previous iterations of the matrix? What's the oracle? Is there a second matrix?
Please I'm so confused.

pls reply. Or are the sequels just nonsensicle anyways?
>What's with Neo in the end?
Dead, presumably.
>Is he even human?
He's the 6th coming of Christ.
>Did the Smith thing occurred in the previous iterations of the matrix?
No.
>What's the oracle?
A human psychology program.
>Is there a second matrix?
The movie takes place during the 6th or whatever iteration of the Matrix. The architect says which version it was.

I had to do a LOT of reading to make sense out of what really happened in the end when I watched the trilogy. Nowadays I can't even remember what happened after the first film other than the fight scenes and NEO IS JESUS LMAO
>Dead, presumably.
That's not really what I meant. I meant just what the fuck is he. The guy carries a code that's supposed to reload the matrix. How does a human carry a code?
>A human psychology program.
Except that's not true. The architect's reaction to Neo saying the mother of the matrix is the oracle implies that she's not.
>The movie takes place during the 6th or whatever iteration of the Matrix. The architect says which version it was.
I was talking about another layer of virtuallity
Don't tell me the other brother is now a tranny, too.
The Oracle is a program like the Architect, her job is to manipulate the redpills
But she wanted to end the cycle of destruction so she went rogue
There is no "second matrix" Neo can control sentinels outside of the Matrix because he touched the Source, so that gives him super powers because reasons
i interpreted it as the architect saying she was not an "oracle"
anyone else here play matrix online?
>Is there a second matrix?
Remember the golden code that Neo sees in both the Matrix and the Real World?
I still think that means their Real World is just another Matrix.
Also Neo being able to destroy sentinels remotely.
Was that game any good? I came across this about a week ago googling for matrix stuff
seems like wasted potential
>yfw the wachowski brothers became the wachowski sisters in your lifetime
>yfw the wachowski sisters will go back to being the wachowski brothers in your lifetime
>that completely over the top video game ending

Maybe if they do the Van Damme nigger in Sense 8 will come back because he was fired for not liking trannies.
Yes.
It was pretty decent. Combat was pretty neat and it was filled with cool shit. But they never really expanded much, like they'd have a handful of new missions when the story advanced, but for the most part, if you weren't playing a lot and happened to be both online and aware of the live events that were going, you were missing out on a good chunk of the game.
And by live events, I don't mean the type of timed events like WoW does pre-expansion where everybody can take part killing/collecting things to get some stuff; I mean they'd have people log in as characters (Ghost, Merovingian, Morpheus, etc.) talk to players and have everyone go over to other areas where the different established characters would talk/fight with the players being around to watch/take part. And once the event happened, that was the only time that one would happen on that server, and depending on how players participated (if one faction beat the shit out of the other) it'd slightly shift the way the story progressed.
Been a while since I watch the 3rd movie, so I may be wrong on some of this.
The Oracle is like a trouble shooting program, it sees the damage and unsustanability of what the architect has built. And the Architect didn't know how to change its base programming, it couldn't start truely new, it always rebooted to the same base program.
we all carry code, just in 4 bits of DNA. Or it could mean a code in the brain structure. There are billions of ways to code stuff into humans. One of the coolest things is a guy coded a poem into an ecola bacteria, which then triggered the bacteria to code a new poem by making protiens off that DNA. So you can encode life with a code in which that life codes something "new" but pre-programmed. That would be one way of making Neo
How new are you?
That's pretty cool.
just awful
the matrix had multiple levels and the trilogy was about the machines getting the humans to accept both levels, willingly.
Yeah but the part when Smith slams the folder on the desk was worth it.
