Musique concrete is very similar to Radiohead's experimental records because both are clumsy, crude, awkward first attempts at creating something new and exciting. It's music that's way more fun to create than it is to listen to. You know it's kind of like fine-tuning your instrument: it's pretty attention-demanding when you're doing it cause you don't want to fuck up but don't have a precise idea of what you're going for, but for others it's a complete bore.

at the end of the day, musique concrète's only true contribution to the musical landscape was coming up with techniques and sounds that ended up being used by mainstream electronic dance music a few decades down the line.

here's the issue, though: it doesn't sound eerie so much as it sounds awkward. It has very little in the way of entertainment value. All it has going for it is that cheap creepypasta mystery appeal that comes from the packaging and promotional material, but even that wears out pretty quick.
