This is the one board I browse that has absolutely no sense of camaraderie or togetherness, it feels so big and fractured.

Other boards are like small town schools and Sup Forums is like a university campus.

It used to have those things. But the mods chased away the regulars, broke the board and left town.

boards like Sup Forums and Sup Forums are even more divided and full of conflict and self-hatred than Sup Forums, although Sup Forums is one of those boards that actually used to be better (another example would be Sup Forums, which was one of the best boards and now is literally shit)

the problem is people shitting on other people's tastes just to feel superior, constant circlejerking and shitposting, and the neverending derails towards politics and social commentary that just shouldn't be here

seems like mods are really inept at their jobs, or they just don't care

honestly Sup Forums is better than Sup Forums these days just because it has mods that occasionally do their work. Every once in a while I click on it just to take a look at how bad it is, and the front page is almost always on-topic and relatively baitless threads

Yeah, /fit/ is also bretty gud, but they don't really have the memepower of bigger boards, and while the really like to homo it up, they also spend a lot of time arguing about dicksucking technique.

Offtopic shit is the least of Sup Forums's problems. I always got really put off by the general negativity, circlejerks and exaggerated consumer outrage. Back when I still went there (early 2013), offtopic threads were a breath of fresh air along with general " what was your favorite X from a game" threads. Those seemed to be the only ones safe from the ever-present teenage rage.

I know what you mean, but at the same time I prefer their sincere rage to the constant baiting I see in this board. Every fucking day it's just either gossip, bait threads, or forced shit like CIA, Chloe Moretz and so on

I'd blame Sup Forums since a lot of the spammers seem to be alt-right little shits, but it's really the mods' fault for letting them out of their cointainment boards and into Sup Forums

To me the main difference is that most of the dumb shit here is tongue-in-cheek, but on Sup Forums it's impossible to distinguish between bait and someone actually spending their precious time on wanting to prove to others on the internet how much they hate something. We may have our kinography and DC-cuck shittery, but Sup Forums has come to attract the type of autist that genuinely believes good videogames died at the turn of the millennium.

Sup Forums and Sup Forums are literally the most pleb and accessable "hobbies" there are. literal retards and all sectrums of autism can enjoy them. combine that with the fact that this site is already for autists and young teens these boards never stood a chance

if this was the case there wouldn't be a noticeable decline in the quality of Sup Forums compared to Sup Forums
plus it's not just autism, the shitposting is constant and intentional
