>characters constnantly withholding information from eachother
>get mad when other character doesn't understand
>conflicts that could have been avoided if characters literally said 1 sentence
Characters constnantly withholding information from eachother
Is this the real life?
>frankly, it's above your paygrade
Smart frogposter because that actually is an unbearable trope, way too common in lazy TV series. It's also terrible for the viewer because there is no surprise or mystery, you always know how to solve the problem - JUST FUCKING OPEN YOUR MOUTHS AND MAKE SOUNDS.
What are you trying to say?
Didn't the first shrek do this
>character tries to reasonable explain
>"That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!"
>character wants to say something
>gets interrupted every single time because other characters can't spend 3 seconds to judge if it might be important
>WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME
>I WAS TRYING TO
I think I was pretty clear.
Pardon?
Kys you filthy slavnigger
I don't think you were.
I hate this.
>GUYS
>hold on a sec
>UHH GUYS
> WHAT
>enemy or monster or whatever is right behind them
>character DOES try to solve it with one sentence
>other character interrupts them and won't listen
This just makes me fucking mad.
Can't kill the dead.
So, shitty forced drama based on contrived TV tropes.
K.
And that never happens irl right? Majority of minor conflicts and suffering of individuals are so not caused by misunderstandings right? Its all so unrealistic and silly.
fuck off shill
>character a won't make another attempt to say it again, no matter how important it is
sup lindelof
real life is shit. its why people watch/read things.
Get out
>character hit on the stomach
>single trail of blood coming out of the mouth
Thats retarded. I hate the run of the mill feel good shit. Its the most mediocore form of media in existence. Dont generalize everyone.
>Giligan does something that ends with them staying stuck on the island
t. vagina
>Harry, always call Lord Voldemort by his real name instead of "You-Know-Who". Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself. Actually Lord Voldemort isn't his real name, it's the name he chose to inspire fear in others. His real name is Tom Riddle, but I'm not going to tell you that, because the sequel is entirely dependent on you not knowing that Tom Riddle is Voldemort. I brought him into the wizarding world myself and let him abuse dark magic even though I knew he was murdering people and torturing animals as a kid. He was a good friend.
Dumbledore is basically the stupidest character in the saga
They were all pretty fucking stupid desu, Rowling can't write a plot where characters aren't dumb because it relies on their stupidity.
>Oh, Harry! It seems like your name has been placed in the, Goblet of Fire! I know that you doing that is impossible and that you would NEVER even try to get your name in the goblet.
When I think about it, someone evil is most likely trying to set you up, Harry! But I'm not stupid, I will let you go right into their trap and force you to participate in the potentially deadly tournament and just sit, do nothing, and watch like an old dumb fuck while you risk your life and a student dies.
>HARRY DIDJAPUTCHANAMEINDAGABLETERFAYAH?!?!?!?!?!?!?
ftfy
What I hate how winnie the pooh, like talks to rabbits and that because, HES A BEAR - and do bears even keep pots of honey?
WAAAAH! WAAAH!
>all the actress' are over 18
Y live?
go chock on horsedick you enormous faggot
He said "its shit" not "its sad"
Which is correct. Movies/shows are better than real life
Sons of Anarchy?
The 7th season of that fucking show only happened because of bad communication
Oh god this shit. I think they said that shit in supernatural once per episode or something.
yes, exactly what I made the thread about
>First character: "Tell me the truth and I promise I won't kill you"
>Second character tells said truth
>Henchman puts gun to second character's head
>Second character: "Wait you promised you wouldn't"
>First character "And I won't, but he will"
Evangelion 3.33 General then?
>hey shinji, last time you got in the fucking robot, you almost caused the end of the world so please just hang out while we fight your dad
>okay
this also happened in sons of anarchy
what did he mean by this?
fucking weeb trash faggot
fuck that annoyed me so much, dumbledore knows full well that harry couldn't have done it, the question in the book is cursory at best
meanwhile in the movie:
HARRY DIDJAPUTCHANAMEINDAGABLETERFAYAH?!?!?!?!?!?!?
So much shit happened on that show because of bad and/or no communication.
>Donna's death. (Let's kill him and not discuss it with the whole group. Oops.)
> Opie's death (Tig kills an important black dude's daughter accidentally because of hearsay from Clay, who is very untrustworthy)
> Jax's death (Let me kill another club member because of more hearsay from my untrustworthy mom.)
Ever seen Flashdance? I watched it last night, and while it's basically weird dance scenes with bad plot gluing them together the writers managed to avoid this trope. When Alex sees Nick going to a ballet with his ex wife she freaks out because she thinks he's cheating on her. She goes to his house and throws a rock through his window out of anger. The next day she screams at him about what a dick he is, and he's like "hold up bitch that's my ex-wife, calm your tits I'm not cheating on you" and then she gets over it and they move on. It was ridiculous, and Nick never got mad because she broke his window, but the writers knew better than to drag it out into some huge misunderstanding that takes the rest of the movie to fix.
If it's important enough I get aggressive to shut them up. If it's a mere phone call memo, I may just forget, typically if important it's written down and left on the phone.
There's a distinction between forgetting to relay seemingly trivial information and 'plot' relevant information. Forgetting to relay information in a thriller/drama is infuriating particularly if the information is fucking pertinent to what they are doing. Worse if they made note of it and hurried on over to relay it and just get interrupted etc.
none of this applies if characters are willingly withholding information, which would either be plot point or character thing.
Wow, rude.
