>Film/book is about what it means to be HUMAN
>gee, maybe the main guy was actually a replicant the WHOLE TIME WOWOOWOWW
What do you think, OP?

Making him a replicant changes the story from something meaningful to a cheesy sci fi.

hey my man im with you one hunned percent. i believe deckard is a human fsho. but a lotta people out here are pretty adamant about him being a replicant.

Is it kino?

its the most kino sci fi film ever made.

Say what you want about the rest of the movie, but the soundtrack is absolutely kino.

it's the other way around. the story becomes nonsensical and dumb if he's human.

Please buy a ticket for the new movie.

PLEASE

In the sequel he will be hunted, he is a replicant.

Moron.

Yes, origami unicorn leaves no doubt. At the very least Ridley Scott's vision of the story is that he was. /thread

- Has repeating dream about a unicorn, guy leaves him the unicorn origami
- "You've done a man's job"

There really is no debate

> OP "Let's discuss!"
> Doesn't actually post anything meaningful or his thoughts.

Why is OP always faggot?

how many replicants eat chow mein and get drunk on some fine whiskey?

Replicants aren't machines with skin suits on top, they are biorobic androids. They are nearly identical to humans except stronger and faster. They can eat and drink just fine.

opposite of truth troll strikes again

Didn't Ridley Didley confirm he was one in an interview?

so replicants get hungry? and if theyre stronger and faster doesnt that mean they need to consume a shit ton of kcals to operate?

is deckard a special replicant that doesnt have a 4 year lifespan?

>i believe deckard is a human fsho. but a lotta people out here are pretty adamant about him being a replicant.

If he's not a replicant, why did he have the unicorn (?) dream?

He basically indicated that Deckard may be a replicant with that origami thing at the end. But Harrison Ford resisted that idea because he felt that it was important for the audience to have a human representation on screen.

In the end Ridley Scott won.

the nigga likes unicorns shiet ma nigga i dont know!

he was more human than humans even though he's a replicant

Wrong
>a non-human was more human than humans
This is logically flawed.

I don't think it was ever brought up in either the book or the film but it would make sense that they need something. They were only supposed to be used in space/offworld colonies

My money is on he is an experimental model that has a few years more than most but ages rapidly. Sean Young isn't coming back so Rachael's probably dead.

Here's my two cents. The point is it doesn't matter if he is or isn't...because even if he isan android like a replicant can be just as human. That's why its so great. It makes you question but when it comes down to it the answer is supposed to be ambiguous.

I hope ridley understands this

its explained in the book or the movie cant remember, they CAN eat and drink but they dont have to. If a replicant truly thought it was human you can see why it would have certain tastes and regular meals

how did edward james olmos know deckard was a replicant?

if replicants are illegal on earth why is deckard allowed to live?

deckard also appears to have had a long life since they mention him being retired from the blade runner business and his connections with numerous people in the police department.

Deckard was given Olmos' memories.

point of the movie is that there's no meaningful difference between humans and replicants. the replicants are just copyrighted and patented, gene modified humans not robots

You would think by now that any moron would understand the basic message the film was trying to convey.

Idiot.

no no and no
deckard was brainwashed to not believe that he's really a replicant that believes it's human but it really a repicant except that it's human

this was easy to follow, what's wrong with you?

It doesn't matter if he was a replicant or not.
What matters is you questioning whether Deckard was a replicant or not.

In the book he's human, so I never got why people believed he was a replicant.

> Ford resisted that idea

Just like a replicant would have done.

K I N O
I
N
O

OMG this makes so much sense, I can't believe that I didn't think about that before.
Damn I was sort of convinced that he was a replicaint but this is the nail in the coffin for "human Deckard". Well done user well done.

he was actually an alium but really a demum

Good Loard, the trailer for his new piece of shit looks completely fucking awful.

It's obvious from the unicorn scene that Deckard is a replicant. That's why Ridley Scott added that scene in fact.

>hat's why Ridley Scott added that scene in fact

Because he is a hack

He's human, he feels uneasy around the replicants, unless replicants are made so they don't know they are replicants and get freaked out at other replicants

Deckard's lack of any discernible expiration date is probably the biggest hole in the concept of Deckard being a replicant.

Every context clue directly points at Deckard being older than four years old, and this sequel only further cements this idea.

would replicants get any use out of a mood organ?

Rachael was made specifically to see what would happen if a replicant thought it was human. Deckard was legitimately surprised when he found out she had no idea.

Ridley Scott changed his mind. End of discussion.

Childhood is when you agree with that hack Ridley Scoot.

Adulthood is when you realize that Harrison Ford and the Book are right.
